Class Recap: METCON 25/07/2024
Last nightโs METCON class was intense and full of energy! We kicked things off with a dynamic warm-up that got everyoneโs muscles activated and ready to go. The highlight of the evening was the "Champions Test" and a huge shoutout to Troye, who crushed it with an impressive time of 29:46! ๐๐ช
Warm-Up Game: We started with a 3-minute AMRAP of High Knees, Jumping Lunges, Push-Ups, and Banded Pull-Aparts. Then, for some added fun, we had a wind power challenge where teams competed to push a foam roller across the floor using only wind power. The losing team had to do 5 burpees, while the winners did 5 BW squats.
Hereโs a quick breakdown of what we did:
- Warm-Up: Muscle activation and a competitive foam roller game.
- Strength/Skill: Overhead Squats EMOM 3 at 80% RPE for 5 minutes.
- Conditioning: A grueling 5-round circuit including Overhead Squats, Burpee Box Jumps, Kettlebell Swings, and Wall Balls with a buy-in 800m run and cash-out Farmer's Walk. They had a time cap of 30 minutes to complete and Troye successfully beat the challenge๐คฏ๐

๐ METCON Class Recap - 24/07/2024 ๐
Last night's METCON class was a blast! Huge shoutout to Aaron for crushing the "Seven Deadly Sins" circuit in an impressive 34 minutes and 31 seconds! ๐ช๐ฅ Check out the videos for a glimpse of the action.
Our warm-up got everyone pumped with a mix of double-unders, dumbbell swings, air squats, push-up to shoulder taps, and high knees with a "Match-The-Distance" game to end the warm-up. We then moved into an intense Devil's Press skill segment, focusing on form and muscle activation.
The highlight of the night was the "Seven Deadly Sins" circuit, where participants pushed through seven challenging rounds comprised of 7 brutal exercises for 7 repetitions each. These exercises included overhead lunges, thrusters, clean nโ jerks, deadlifts, burpees, KB swings, and pull-ups. Everyone gave it their all, and the energy in the room was incredible.
Weโll be running this circuit again in three months to measure everyone's progress, so keep training hard!
Tonight's METCON Class - 25/07/2024
Join us tonight for another exciting session! Our warm-up will include high knees, jumping lunges, push-ups, and banded pull-aparts. We're introducing a fun team challenge with Assault Bikes and a foam roller game to get the competition going.
The strength segment will focus on overhead squats, ensuring you build the strength needed for advanced movements. The conditioning phase will be brutal and made to make you sweat, but guaranteed you'll leave feeling accomplished after its all over!

We're kicking off with some fun and challenging warm-up games, including Sn**ch the Cone and Hot Potato, to get everyone moving and energized. We'll then dive into a skill segment focusing on the Curtis P โ power clean into a lunge into a push press โ to build strength and technique.
Our conditioning phase will be a Bootcamp AMRAP 35 I called the "Chance Workout Challenge" where you and your partner will push each other to the max! ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ

Even with just two participants, our class was on fire! Sharon and Kanish brought incredible energy and determination to the session. ๐ช
We kicked off with some fun warm-up games โ "Sn**ch-the-Cone" and "Push-O-War" โ which got everyone moving and laughing. Then, we moved into our strength segment, focusing on Clean and Jerk form and technique.
The highlight of the night was the AMRAP style bootcamp, where Sharon and Kanish went head to head. Both of them pushed their limits, but Sharon managed to edge out just a few more reps than Kanish. ๐
Great job, Sharon and Kanish! Your hard work and competitive spirit were truly inspiring.

๐ Today's METCON Class Recap! ๐
We had an incredible METCON session at WorldGym Maitland today. Everyone brought their A-game and pushed through a challenging but rewarding workout!
Strength/Skill Segment:
We focused on perfecting the Overhead Squat today. After warming up with some barbell practice, we honed in on our form with 5 sets of 3 reps at 80% RPE. It was amazing to see everyone improving their squat depth and stability.
Main Workout:
The main workout was a series of intense EMOM (Every Minute On the Minute) drills, progressively increasing in intensity. We tackled exercises like Power Sn**ches, Thrusters, Strict Presses, Power Cleans, Wall Balls, Front Squats, and more. The energy was high, and everyone pushed through to the very end, showing incredible determination and strength.
I'm so proud of each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication. Remember, consistency is key, and every session brings us closer to our fitness goals. Keep up the fantastic work, and let's bring the same energy to our next class!
