🔔STAGE 3 DIV 1 WRAP UP🔔
Comments from Coach Brendan Mills:
Firstly thanks to the parents, club and families for pitching in and assisting with the on going help weekly with scoring, umpiring and getting the kids ready to play. A special shout out to smithy for helping out so much with the boys.
Secondly thanks to this amazing group of young men. I have had a fantastic time being involved in their development as cricketers and as clubman ,some from a young age and others in the last few years. The club should be proud of the way the boys hold the values of the club whenever they are on the field. They proved that they have been the most dominant side for a number of years in the MDJCA. Minor premierships prove that they are the most consistent team in the competition yet again.
Thanks to everyone that played in the side this year from a single game to the whole season. And a big shout out to Louis Botha that travels from Muswellbrook to play in this team on a Friday then again on a Saturday. Huge effort Botha’s
Lastly to the 3 men who have played their last junior games for the club. Rhys Chayce and Beau hopefully you can take what you have learnt and achieved in junior cricket into the seniors ranks for years to come. Thanks boys I’ve loved the ride with you guys
Lastly thanks to Rod lovey and Margie and the escc team for getting them on the field and dressed so professionally you guys do a great job and should be proud.
Stage 3 Div 1 came to a finish in the Grand Final against Northern Suburbs @ Coronation Oval.
The Boys took out the minor premiership in a diversified side in which most if not all of the members are playing Senior Cricket across all Grades in our Senior Competition.

Fellow Griffin's,
It is with much sadness that we wish to inform the community of ESCC Life Member Stuart Pannowitz's passing.
It is hard to put into words nor can it be measured the true value of Stuart's contributions to his beloved ESCC.
As a long term player, coach and executive of our club Stuart has no peers with many hailing him as our greatest ever Griffin.
But Stuey was much more then that, he was also a great friend to many, incl those who had the pleasure of playing against him.. Stuarts passion for Easts never waivered, nor shall his memory.
Funeral details will be shared once known.

We are well into the off season now, but we still have plenty of Junior Sides to showcase their season.
This week, Its our only Stage 2 Side.
Its the first of our junior sides who have a few playing in the Senior competition.
A Group with a heap of talent and promise, Getting ready to step into Stage 3 next season when it kicks off later this year.
Comments from Coach Dallas Crane:
The Stage 2 Division 2 season proved to be a challenging but fun season for the side. While results didn’t always fall our way and wins were limited, the team consistently demonstrated commitment, resilience, and a strong willingness to compete each week.
We welcomed the power pair, Finn and Hugh Greedy to our side, stepping up from 1/1s, along with increasing our girls on the field by adding in Makayla O’Shea (lot’s of healthy sibling rivalry in our side!) and welcoming back Penny McDougall for her second season to join Khloe Mate (Go the Griffin girls 💙💚)
Training efforts improved with gradual development across the season, with individuals stepping up in key moments and contributing wherever possible.
One of the most pleasing aspects of this side is the culture-support for others remained high, and the group continued to encourage and push each other regardless of the scoreboard.
That culture of effort and enjoyment is something to be proud of and provides a strong foundation moving forward.
While the ladder position may not reflect it, the season delivered valuable experience and growth.
Overall, a tough season on paper, but one defined by perseverance, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game.

With the Season at an end and Winter Sports closing in, its time to say goodbye to our Overseas all-rounder Toby Jones.
Recruited by Club Coach Shannon Threlfo after his time playing at Toby's Club Seamer and Irton CC in the United Kingdom, plenty of work went into getting him over here and into the Royal Blue.
Toby has been an absolute joy to have around Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club and his efforts as an allrounder have been solid as he also quickly became popular company off field at Training, Social Functions, Post Match Catch Ups and Special Events.
Many thanks to the work of the Committee and to the Stoneman's for helping Accommodate Toby during the Summer, We incredibly appreciate your support towards providing such opportunities for our Club to grow.
Toby, it has been an absolute pleasure to have and to welcome you as a Griffin this season, although a few of us did get worried we would lose you, if you were to be whisked away and called up to the English Side during their struggling Ashes Campaign 😂
We wish you the best of luck as you chase another Summer back home in the UK for Seamer & Irton and would love to see you again in the future.
Check out Toby's Season Stats for Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club below:
