The Deaf exhibition match at the 2026 Toyota AFL Open is on Monday 12 October at 12:30 pm at Latrobe Sports Park, Bundoora.

We’re desperate for numbers, so if you’re keen to play, please express your interest! Share this with any Deaf or hard of hearing footy players who might want to join in 💚

In collaboration with the Australian Sports Commission, The University of Queensland is conducting a project to better understand the current state of disability and sport in Australia and to develop an Action Plan and recommendations to support and enhance the disability and sport system.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Auslan Run Club Melbourne tonight. It was so good to meet new people, have a chat and get moving together.

Deaf Run Club Melbourne is kicking off this Thursday! 🤟

Our first run is Thursday 24 September at The Tan, meeting at Morrell Bridge.

🕠 Arrive from 5:30pm
🔥 Warm-up from 5:50pm
🏃 Run starts at 6:00pm
📏 5km easy/social run

The plan is to run every Thursday and see how we go! Everyone is welcome, all fitness levels, whether you’re a regular runner or just want to get moving, meet new people and have a bit of fun.

If there’s enough interest, we’d also love to start doing Sunday morning runs, followed by coffee or breakfast together ☕🥐 ,making it just as much about the social side and community as the running!

Kicking off National Week of Deaf People a little early in Victoria!

We knew this week was going to be a busy one, so on Sunday DSRV partnered with Deaf Connect to bring the community together at Braybrook for a fun activity day!

We had around 50 people come through, lots of great feedback, met some new families including CODA families, and best of all — seeing the kids having fun and enjoying all the different activities!

Chess, footy, darts, bowls and plenty of smiles throughout the day! ♟️🏉🎯

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, helped out and supported the day. 💚
