You don’t have to be a ‘gun’ swimmer to join the Somerset Seahorses. However, Somerset is not a learn-to-swim club. Age is no barrier.
Somerset Masters is home to the Seahorses 🌊 🐎 It is an adult swimming club open to people 18+ years and is designed for fun, friendship & fitness!
#SwimForLife We are a club that caters for people who can already swim, and provide an environment in which they can improve this skill, and maintain/develop fitness in an enjoyable manner (fun and friendship). Anyone 18 years or older with an interest

🔹️ thank you Claremont Masters Swimming Club for hosting the best Golden Groper event to date. Big thank you to the sponsors and all the event organisers and technical officers for making this event possible. It was a first time event for some of our newer members to the club and they enjoyed every minute of it

🔹️ Our August social was a Kath and Kim themed pub crawl. Everyone was a horn bag. Sharon got BOG from her netball game (Doesn't usually play WA). No Kel, he busy purveying fine meats. Prue and Trude showed up, something different, noice, and unusual!

🔹️ two open water swimming lovers left Australia via a short 30 minute ferry to do the 8th annual Keppel Islands Swimming Association swim around Keppel. Tara took on the 1km, 6km and 15km swim over the two days (are you shocked?), and Teagyn did the 1km and 15km swims. As we all know from previous swims in Perth, the weather gods don't always play ball, so the swim around the island was slightly modified to swim up one side and back. Thanks to Val from KISA for putting on a great event with 💯 per cent success rate.

From old members to new, the club is evolving and we love it 🫶🏻 thanks to Yijun for capturing these moments. He also split his time between swimming, photographer and trainee official!

🔹The Soggy Seahorses swapped the ocean 🏊🏻♀️ for the pool this year for our Winter Solstice swim. Two relay teams clocked up a combined 5️⃣km, with plenty of laughs and team spirit along the way.
A massive thank you to Swansea Street meats for generously donating sausages to help feed our hungry swimmers after all that swimming 🌭
Everyone enjoyed a swim, followed by a hot shower 🚿 and a catch-up over brunch 🥮☕️. It was fantastic to see our members, new swimmers, golden oldies, and returning faces all coming together to celebrate the shortest day of the year.
Another great Seahorses event 🌊 🐎
Next social: 🎄Christmas in July: Sunday 5 June
