Captains/Delegates Meeting Reminder.
Please refer to the original post on the 28/08/26 for further information.
The committee is requesting that the Captains of each team (even if they’re a committee member) please reply to the Messenger chat group message with who’s attending & any questions, proposals, discussion points, etc (must be relevant & reasonable) they wish to raise with the committee, mostly about playing, rules, fixtures, events, etc & some general committee business, to do so by the 13/09/26 at the latest, to assist with compiling an agenda for the meeting.
If any players have something they wish to add & haven’t yet informed their Captain, please send it to your Captain immediately for them to forward to the committee.

It's not to be used as tool for general chat between members.
Association Treasurer.
This was advertised by posting here on Facebook, a message to the Captains & Committee Messenger chat group & by e-mail to the members through DartConnect on 28/08/26.
There was only 1 x expression of interest to become Treasurer, which was Rob Molnar.
The Committee is accepting of his promotion from general committee member to the executive position + have faith in his interest & abilities to execute his duties in the position.
Caylee Crilly - Newspaper.
I have it on good authority that they’ll be an article about Caylee & her darts journey in the Kyabram Free Press shortly.
I’ll endeavor to get a copy of it & post it here, once it’s been published.

Michael Bajowski (Baja) - Trans-Tasman Championships.
Brisbane - Queensland.
Baja competed in this tournament over the weekend & represented Australia.
There was 4 x events held as part of the tournament.
Singles - Top 64.
Doubles - Top 32. (with Mal Cuming.)
Test Match - Winning Team.
Championship - Top 16.
I’ve added screenshots below of his results & some statistics + the test match result. Also, a team photograph of the Australia & New Zealand players.
He also secured the signatures of both teams on a white E.M.D.A. shirt for the association to use for fundraising purposes. Thanks very much to Baja, all the other players involved & the tournament organisers for doing this & allowing it to occur, it’s much appreciated. I’ve also added a screenshot of the signature shirt below & we’ll most likely be framing it + adding a plaque/label, the team photograph & the test match scoresheet to increase our fundraising possibilities.
Well done Baja for representing Australia in the test match & winning the set that gave Australia the overall win & throwing some great darts.
Again, another one of a few of our association members who are committed, participating & performing well at the elite level + doing our association & members proud.
Also, a reminder that Baja will be participating in the last leg of the A.D.A. Tour, which is tournament # 6 in South Australia between 11 - 13/09/26.

General Support, Understanding & Behaviour.
We didn’t necessarily wish to make this public to non-members, but I think the following needs mentioning & addressing.
It’s become very clear to the current Committee Members that there’s a small number of members who aren’t supporting the purpose or best interests of the association & are attempting to undermine the committee group.
The current Committee Members are doing the best job possible at executing their duties & in the best interest of the association + membership group. Much time is being spent on this & for no other reward than attempting to continually improve the association + the experience of the membership group.
Our decision making & actions undertaken are always done considering the majority, not the minority.
We’ve significantly increased the associations information sharing with the membership group to be transparent & inclusive.
We’re happy to have robust conversations about most association related things with any member, as long as it’s done in a professional & polite manner.
It’s been mentioned many times in the past that if anyone has feedback (positive or negative), questions or suggestions for the committee group, to please send them to the association e-mail account for all Committee Members to be aware of & address as a group. We still request that members consider not approaching Committee Members directly before & during playing darts, with anything that isn’t a simple & relevant topic at the time.
We’d also like to remind members of their obligations to be of good behaviour, supportive, inclusive & assist in providing a safe environment for all involved + to be mindful of alcohol consumption & the affect it can have.
We’re currently seeking people to fill the Secretary & Treasurer positions & anyone else whom may wish to become a general committee member.
This information has also been posted to the Captains via our Messenger chat group & e-mailed to all current playing members via the DartConnect e-mail system.
Secretary & Treasurer Committee Positions.
Recently these position within the association’s (executive) committee have been vacated.
At this stage we’re calling for any expressions of interest for either position.
Rob Molnar, who is currently on the committee as a general member, has expressed interest in becoming Treasurer. He has previous experience in a similar role within another sporting organisation & has already demonstrated some of his skills & qualities to the other committee members in the short period he’s been involved, that would assist him in being the Treasurer.
Please feel free to reach-out if you have any questions about what’s involved in each of the positions & would consider expressing interest, so the President or Vice-President can contact you.
We’ll also send this post to all current playing members via the DartConnect e-mail system & inform the current team Captains via our Messenger chat group.
Association Captains/Delegates Meeting.
The association wishes to advise all members this meeting is scheduled for 7.00pm on Tuesday the 15/09/26 at the Rich River Golf Club.
The committee will be attempting to hold one of these meeting each season (approximately at the halfway point) going forward.
We’ll be posting this information on the Captains & Committee Messenger chat group shortly, to seek interest in attending & the general business items (appropriate & timely) any general playing members wish their Captain or Delegate to raise for discussion, to assist with compiling the meeting agenda document.
This meeting is for Committee Members & Captains (or a Delegate the Captain selects from their team, if unable to attend themselves) only, not all members. We only want 1 x representative from each current/active team, which is a maximum total of 16 x people, with some Committee Members being Captains.
We request any general playing members who have questions, suggestions, etc for the Committee Members & Captains/Delegates to discuss, that you record this with your Captain to be raised at the meeting.
If Captains don’t pass on this information by the 13/09/26 to be added to the meeting agenda document, then you need to be aware the meeting will take longer to conduct, as the notetaker of the meeting will have more work to do whilst there. We understand they’ll be some questions, suggestions, etc arise whilst at the meeting that will need to be added to the meeting minutes.
If there isn’t a representative from at least 8 of our current/active 11 x teams planning on attending, we may decide not to hold the meeting. There is currently 4 x Committee Members that are Captains as well.
Hopefully this meeting will take place & be a useful exercise.
