✨ Additional Class Annoucement - Stay Steady ✨

We’ve got some exciting news for our Stay Steady community, we’re adding an additional class to the timetable! Now running Wednesdays at 9am and 10am, we've doubled the space to keep twice as many people staying steady.

Designed especially for seniors, this fun and supportive chair-based program combines gentle seated and standing exercises to help you feel steadier, stronger, and more independent in your everyday life. Take a step towards feeling your best, because feeling good starts with staying steady!

There is something for everyone these school holidays at the Blackwood Recreation Centre! We offer both daily workshops for an exciting morning activity or full day bookings for a whole day of VacFun fun!

Full Day Bookings - $55, Workshops: $22 (10:30am - 12pm)

Joining us for our Full Day Bookings will include:
🛼Skating: All day, bring your own or use ours. Blades and 4 wheel skates areavailable.
🤸Gym: 3 super tramps, beams, bars, gym mats and shapes.
🏀Stadium: Skating, basketball, soccer and group games.
🎨Craft: Various arts and crafts activities daily.

The spookiest skate of the year is coming and you’re invited!

Join us on Saturday 31st October from 6:30–9:30pm for a Halloween Roller Disco packed with music, mayhem and spooky fun!

Put on your best costume, grab your skates and get ready to hit the rink! With games, face painting, DJ and giveaways throughout the night you definitely won’t want to miss out!

🏆 Congratulations Lilly! 🏆

A huge congratulations to one of our incredible CSO team members Lilly Andrews on being named the 2026 SANFLW U18 Leadership Award recipient!

Voted for by her fellow members of the leadership group, this award is a wonderful recognition of Lilly’s leadership, resilience and commitment to her team. Despite missing the season due to injury, Lilly continued to demonstrate what true leadership looks like by supporting her teammates and leading by example both on and off the field.

We’re incredibly proud to see Lilly recognised for the impact she has made within her team and community!!

🚶‍♀️Walk a Mile Summary🚶‍♂️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Walk a Mile event last Saturday!

We had over 20 members of our community brave the rainy weather to come along, get moving, and support this important cause. Together we raised an amazing $170 on the day!

We loved seeing our community come together for a great cause and make a difference through movement, connection and get some steps in along the way.

But we’re not quite finished yet! You can continue to support our fundraising efforts throughout the remainder of August by donating online or at our charity box located at the front desk.
