Appreciation post

As some of you may already know, after 4 years of holding the forte together Kay Marie Collins is stepping down from her role as Secretary/Treasurer.
For someone who had very little knowledge of the game of golf, you took on the role head first and gave it everything you had.
From the minute you stepped into the club you went above and beyond your role and we cant thankyou enough for everything you have done for the club over the last 4 years.
We hope you enjoy all the extra spare time you will now have!

With that being said we welcome Andrew to the club who has agreed to take over from Kay. We hope you will enjoy this role and we look foward to working with you to keep the club moving Foward!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for the 2026 Club Championship Finals

We started the day on a sad note learning of the passing of former member Norm Cook. The flag flew at half mast in honour of him. Norm was a huge part of our club serving as captain for numerous years and being a 3x club champion. Even though you hadn't been at the club in some time, you will certainly be missed! RIP Norm. Condolences to Di and the Family.

Onto the results for the day. Even though the results weren't particularly close, there was some fiercely contested matches.
2026 Club Champion was Jarred Dalton defeating Luke Tape 13/11
B Grade Craig Mapstone defeating Peter Meadows 9/8
C Grade Caleb Rivers defeating Liam Mack 8/7

What a beautiful day today for Edithburgh Golf club’s championship
Also the last day of Frank Nash’s Memorial hit out will return back to Adelaide worse for wear agreed by all to return in 2027

Results 23/8/26

Club Championship Semi Finals along with a Stableford comp was in order today. After the rains yesterday the course was extremely soggy and played quiet tough providing some tightly contested finals.

Seeing Jarred had a bye today Luke Thompson from Warooka kindly came down for a hit and the result of that was Jarred 6/5 up. He didn't leave with nothing though winning the chocolate Raffle.

Semi Finals this Sunday! Teeing off from 12pm. For those that aren't apart of the Semi Finals and would still like a hit, we will still be running a Stableford comp. See you there ⛳️🍻

Today 8 players contested the 5th and final round of Club Championship Qualifying.

Winner with a PB was Nathan Daniell 83/66
Runner up Peter Meadows 85/69
3rd Jarred Dalton 69/70

With all that being done the Club Championship semi finals are set. They will be played on SUNDAY the 23rd of August

What a day absolutely icy outside Edithburgh Golf Club hosted Vets Day 20 Males and two ladies braved the cold conditions playing 18 holes 1/2 way round returning to the warm club for hot soup and toasted sandwiches thanks to Judy Johnson Shirley Thompson Deb Mapstone a new social golf player for their assistance
Craig Mapstone a new volunteer and club member joined the Vets enjoying the day
