We are inducting 2 new life members, Peter Matheson and Adrian Woolman.

Both Peter and Adrian joined the club around 2010–2011 and have been outstanding contributors ever since. Their commitment, performances, and passion for the club over the years have more than earned them this recognition.

Adrian Woolman has been a cornerstone of the side, captaining the team to multiple grand final appearances. With the bat, Adrian recorded a high score of 133, averaging 24.27 across 123 matches (107 innings), including 11 half-centuries and 2 centuries. Beyond the numbers, his leadership and dedication have left a lasting mark on the club.

Peter Matheson’s contributions are just as remarkable. Across 168 matches, Pete has taken 225 wickets at an average of 17.84, with best figures of 7/14. His consistency is highlighted by 170 maiden overs, 4 five-wicket hauls, and a 10-wicket match, alongside an impressive economy rate of 3.55. A proven match-winner and a key figure on and off the field, Pete has played a huge role in the club’s success over many seasons.

We thank both Peter and Adrian for their incredible service and congratulate them on becoming Life Members — a truly well-deserved honour.

Yes, the socials went quiet. No, the club didn’t fold.
Admin was on holidays, feet in the sand, drink in hand, absolutely nowhere near a keyboard 🏖️🍹
Consider it an extended drinks break.

Now admin’s back, and for full transparency… this post has been drafted by ChatGPT, because even on holidays the banter budget was running low 🏏

On to the cricket:

A Grade have gone 3 wins from the last 5 and sit 3rd.
AK has been filling the book with 83 and 55, while Sunil chimed in with a classy 83 of his own.

B Grade are right in the mix too, going 2 wins, 2 losses (plus a bye).
Special mention to Pete Matheson (refer photo), who rolled back the years with his highest score for the club — a stylish 58. Bat raised, ego boosted, WhatsApp notifications pinging 📈😏

Plenty of Roadies chiming in with wickets too but 3 fa's don't create headlines.

Big couple of weeks coming up as both teams look to cement top-4 spots…

🏏 ROUND 4 RESULTS – 2 TEAMS, 2 WINS! 🏏
…and the B Grade boys even wrapped it up outright in one day! 🔥

A GRADE
7/188 defeated Sheidow Park 141 & 6/51
A huge performance with both bat and ball:
💥 Nish was unstoppable — 5/22 in the first dig and 2/13 in the second. A lazy 7-for the match.
💥 Rav chimed in beautifully as well, grabbing 5 wickets for the match.
With the bat, Rauf (61) and AK (44) led the chase.

B GRADE
3/88 defeated Port Noarlunga 54 & 15
The lads didn’t just win — they steamrolled Port Noarlunga for a one-day outright!
🔥 Pete Matheson took 7 wickets for the match
🔥 The returning Anthony May grabbed 5 of his own
With the bat, Pasan (35) and skipper Qasim (26 not out)* made light work of the chase.

Both teams are now sitting 2nd on the ladder and building some serious momentum.

🏏 ROUND 4 TEAM SELECTIONS 🏏

Plenty of chatter at the selection table this week with a few tough calls made!

The A Grade boys head down to Cove to take on Sheidow Park, while the B Grade are back home at Edwardstown Oval against Port Noarlunga.

🏏 Round 3 Wrap-Up 🏏

A reflective start to the weekend as our A Grade wore black armbands and observed a minute’s silence for Ben Austin, who tragically passed away last week after being struck by a cricket ball. Our thoughts are with Ben’s family, friends, and teammates.

On the field, the A’s chased quick runs after rain cut short last week’s innings — some powerful hitting from Raman (44) helped us post 159. Despite a solid effort with the ball and in the field, South Park reached the target five down with a few overs to spare. Luke Woolman was best with the ball, taking 2 wickets.

Over in the B Grade, the boys claimed a cracking win over Mitchell Park! After being 4/49 overnight, a gritty rebuild from Naman (28no), Nish*t (26), and Richie (22no) lifted us to 5/130. The highlight, though, came with the ball — Pasan produced a match-winning spell of 6/21 off 10 overs, skittling Mitchell Park for 113.

Both sides now sit 4th on the ladder with 2 wins and 1 loss — a strong start to the season for the Roadies!

🌧️ SRCC Round 3 Update 🌧️

Rain had the final say on Day 1, cutting short play for both teams!

☂️ A Grade made a solid start against South Park, sitting at 2/76 after 36 overs. Raj (40*) and AK (16*) are set at the crease and will be looking to push the scoring along quickly next week — only 12 overs left to post a competitive total. Some big ins this week too 👀💪

☂️ B Grade battled through tricky conditions to reach 4/49 after 33 overs, and will also be chasing some quick runs when play resumes on Day 2.

Plenty to play for next week — let’s hope the weather plays nice! 🌤
