Central United Tigers Softball Club

Just an update on what our launch committee has been working on as we prepare for our season launch as Eastern Park Demons Softball Club on Sunday 22nd of June.

We are following up regarding the finalisation of the Tigers as a club entity. This includes liaising with Eastern Park President, Damo, who is helping to guide us with legal support to ensure we follow the right processes. We are also in the process of accessing an auditor to finalise books and open a new bank account.

We have been liaising with Tyson from Pro Team to prepare our uniforms and get a portal up and running for launch day. Through the portal uniform tops and shorts will be available for purchase. They will cost $40 each and the portal will open on the 22nd with the first orders closing after 2 week. This will enable to get our first uniforms back 4 to 5 weeks after the portal closes. Further opportunities will be available to purchase uniforms and we will provide further details regarding this.
At the launch we will have 1 uniform top for members to see the finished product, with sample tops and shorts for members to try on for sizing.

Hats have been ordered and will be available for purchase on launch day. Caps will be $27.00 each and visors $20.00 each. These can be paid via cash or eftpos.

# Coaching positions have been advertised and we are investing in our coaches through providing coaching accreditation opportunities.

# The Eastern Park Club has been successful in accessing a grant through Anglicare with all sports accessing part of the grant funding. We will be running a 10 week after school softball program at the club training grounds to encourage more children and their families to softball. The program will be 1 session a week for 1 hour for the 10 week duration. More information will be provided when we have an update from the Eastern Park Committee.

Our next launch meeting will be held at the Eastern Park Club rooms on Tuesday 17th at 6pm. Damo, the Eastern Park President, and Lynda, the club treasurer, will be present at the meeting to further assist us in moving forward as Demons. All members welcome to attend as we prepare our Demons launch.

We are looking for expressions of interest in coaching for Eastern Park Demons Softball Club for the season 20225/26.
We are planning on nominating teams in juniors including tee ball, under 12, 14 and 16's as well as teams in the women's and men's competition.
Please nominate your coaching preference and any skills you believe you can bring to coaching at Demons.

You will require to have a minimum of level 1/foundation level certificate, which can be completed from the following website:

As a prerequisite for this course, you may also have to do safeguarding children and young people in sport induction to complete the foundation coaching. this can be found at:

The club will reimburse the successful coaching applicants for the cost of the foundation coaching upon presentation of their certificates.
