We have an away round for Juniors Round 5 and Mens Round 7, with all of our teams playing at either Rockingham or Kingsway.

U12s has a BYE this week.

Huge shout-out to Keifer, who absolutely crushed the season's first GRAND SLAM! 🚀

⭐️U14s Highlights⭐️

Our U14s faced a tough challenge right from the start, but they showed true club spirit and fought hard all game!

• Thank you Kaiya for filling in!

• Hayden made a cracking outfield hit to score 2 runs.

• Brilliant defense with a double play by Will and an over-the-head catch from Saxon at shortstop.

• The team has been working on their batting with the motto "Be Aggressive, Be Be Aggressive," ensuring they are swinging at pitches to give them every chance of getting a hit. They also spent some time stealing and base running during the week to help move runners around.

A big thank you to our President, Beau, for your assistance in our team development. 🙌

We truly appreciate everyone's ongoing support as we continue to build our club from the juniors up!

Shameus (Div 6) crushed his second home run of the season, moving him right back toward the top of the leaderboard.

Player Highlight ⭐️

Needing its own special mention, our very important Men’s Softball Coordinator, Kyle, had a hilarious moment on Sunday. Thinking it was ball 4, he decided to skip his way to 3rd base (yes, you read that correctly).

Turns out, it was actually only ball 3. While Kyle was mid-skip, the other team tagged him out! Now, don't listen to Kyle if he tries to argue that he thought it was ball 4 or blames the base coach and the umpire - we simply don't believe him! 😂

Next time you plan a mid-game skip, Kyle, give us a heads-up so we can have the cameras ready!

Division 6 Highlights⭐

It was a great win for Div 6 against Cockburn!

The boys were on fire with the bats all game. Davin set the tone early as lead-off with a huge triple, while James and Craig also came up big with solid doubles to keep the pressure on. Every player contributed at the plate, with everyone collecting at least a single and adding to the team effort with some great hitting all round.

Defensively, the team was outstanding and completely error-free in the field. Scott led the way with an amazing pitching performance that was almost another shutout, while Lachie’s fantastic clean catching effort kept Cockburn under control all game. Kaiden also impressed in the outfield with some excellent catches and James pulled off a great line drive catch at first base to cap off a strong defensive display.

Most importantly, it was a great fun game full of laughs, energy, and some quality softball. Well done guys! 💪😎🥎

TIME CHANGE: Junior U12s game will now be played at 10am.

It was great to see our Juniors out for their first home game of the season. They put in a massive effort and really held their own!

HR Leaderboard Update:

• Neil (Div 9) smashed one over the fence, securing his spot on the leaderboard! 💥

• Nate (Div 5) hit a home run filling in for Div 7. He has secured top spot on the leaderboard with 2 home runs so far this season. 🚀🔥

Division 7 Report:

Huge shout-out to Lachie and Nate for filling in so the side could field a team.

Phoenix was starting pitcher and settled in well securing the outs before Nollzy came in to keep the pressure on. Sam was a standout in the field, assisting in several outs and pulling off a solo double play!

The highlight of the day was the team's refusal to give up. Despite trailing by 7 runs, the players fought all the way back to level the score. The comeback was finished off by Phoenix getting his first-ever recorded hit, driving in 2 runs to secure the walk-off win! 🏆🎉

What a way to wrap up the round! 💪🥎

🚨HOME GAME ALERT🚨

Another home game for most of our teams this Sunday! 🏠🥎

It’s Round 2 for our Juniors and their first home game of the season, so let’s get plenty of people out there on the sidelines to cheer them on for their first home appearance!

Div 8 and 9 are our only teams on the road with away games this week for Round 4. 🚗

🥎Sunday Recap🥎

It was a tough weekend for Easterns, most of our teams faced some very strong competition. Shout-out to our Men's Div 5, who were our only winners this week.

Well done to Eric W (Div 5), who earned a spot on the Home Run Leaderboard. 🚀

Each week we’ll share reports from different teams across the club, with this round featuring our Junior U12s and Men's Div 8:

Our U12 Juniors put in a solid effort for their first game of the season. Kasey and Kaiya did an awesome job for their first game pitching, while Scarlett and Ollie M both gave it their all catching. A special mention to Ezra for some fantastic stops at Shortstop.

For our Div 8 Men, it was a hard-fought game where everyone put in a strong effort with some great individual moments. Fudsy was a standout at shortstop with a double and some diving catches. Kobe played well at 2nd with some close plays and improved glove work. The outfielders also worked hard chasing down deep hits and taking a couple of catches.

Even when the scoreboard isn't in our favor, showing that Easterns spirit by having a laugh and enjoying the game with our teammates is what it’s all about. 🟠⚫️
