2027 SENIOR FOOTBALL COACHES 🦘🔵⚪️

We’re thrilled to announce Adam McNamara & Clay Brewer will lead our senior footballers in 2027!

Two brilliant footballers in their time and long-standing, integral members of the South Colac Sports Club, both are highly respected across the league and bring plenty of experience, passion and leadership to the role.

They’re ready to build on our senior program, continue to promote our juniors and drive success both on and off the field, with some exceptional leaders within the playing group also supporting them in 2027. Congratulations Adam & Clay!

Expressions of interest are now OPEN for coaches across all grades for the 2027 season! With all but one of our teams finishing in the top five in 2026, a strong and growing junior pathway, and a club positioned in one of the region’s fastest-growing areas, there’s never been a better time to be part of South Colac Netball.

We’re looking for passionate coaches ready to help take our netball program to the next level.

A HUGE WEEKEND LOADING AT SOUTH! 🦘

We’re looking forward to seeing the entire South crew rally around our Grand Final sides this weekend as we cheer them over the line! Then we’ll kick off the celebrations on Saturday night with our Grand Final After Party, with live music from the_vulkans keeping us entertained all night long!

Unfortunately not the result we were hoping for with our 17 & Under netballers and U/18 footballers narrowly missing out on a Grand Final spot. Both teams gave it everything and should be incredibly proud of their exceptional seasons!

Now we turn our focus to next week as we get ready to cheer our B & D Grade netballers and U/12 footballers over the line and hopefully bring home a few premiership cups! 🏆

After three seasons leading our senior group, Brad Surkitt has informed the club that he has decided not to take on the coaching role again in 2027. Brad has been an incredible leader, bringing professionalism, passion and a huge amount of commitment to the role. Under his guidance, our senior side finished 4th in 2024 and narrowly missed finals in the past two seasons, finishing 6th on both occasions.

We’re hopeful Brad’s journey at South is far from over, and that he’ll continue on with the club as a player. His fitness, preparation and hardness at the ball make him a magnificent role model for our younger players, both on and off the field.

Brad, Kate, Amelia and Dawson are much-valued members of the South family, and we’ve loved watching their family grow alongside our club. Thanks, Brad, for the huge effort you’ve put in over the past three seasons. 🦘🔵⚪️
