Today we said goodbye to the beautiful Marg O’Shea. A lovely service to celebrate the life of the kind, strong & courageous woman she was.
Her love for all animals, especially horses saw her as DC of the Eltham District Horse & Pony Club for some years.
Thinking of her family & loved ones at this sad time.

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO HELP SAVE THE EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES AT ELTHAM LOWER PARK!
Nillumbik Council are not renewing the leases for either our Pony Club or Eastern Region Adult Riders who currently share the beautiful grounds at Eltham Lower Park.
Instead, Nillumbik Council are planning, with a $2Million grant to use the entire area (Approx. 15acres) to create yet another dog park and restore Flora & Fauna.
We are only asking that some small amount of area be left for the equestrian community and we cohabit safely with dog owners and all utilise the area happily. As let’s face it, horse lovers tend to be dog lovers too!
We have been summoned to vacate the grounds by 31/12/23
In a year where the Eltham District Horse & Pony Club should be celebrating it’s 70th year, we find ourselves with very little to celebrate.
Further more to this petition, if you could leave your thoughts with the council on their proposed plans that would be much appreciated also.
