AO update.

Men’s fours update. Shane’s four’s campaign has come to an end. After winning two of the three games today they just failed to progress by a shot difference of ten shots.
Shane’s attention now turns the Men’s Pairs on Saturday at the Broadbeach Bowling Club beginning at 6pm.

Australian Open Update.
One of members Shane Waddingham has travelled up to the AO to the not so sunny Gold Coast.

Shane started his campaign in the Mens Singles on Monday. He won his first two games in the sectional format and then played another two game winner but unfortunately went down seven shots and was eliminated.

On Tuesday he played with another former member Gary Phillips in the Mens Pairs. Better news they had two wins and draw in their three games and qualified for the knock out rounds.

Tomorrow he is playing with Gary and two other members from Bundoora in the Mens Fours at Club Mermaid.

Trivia Night 23rd May 2026

“On Saturday 18.4.26, President, Tom Ridi, hosted 50 members, friends and family to at the Montmorency Eltham RSL to celebrate the 25/26 Bowling Season for the Eltham Bowling Club.

A nice meal and good company were enjoyed by all.

Club Championship winners, including Women’s Club Champion, Ros Camera, and Men’s Champion, Peter Toovey, received their trophies.

Other achievements were highlighted during the afternoon.

Evan Sharp from Real Estate Agent, Morrison Kleeman, who sponsor the Club Championship, was in attendance to present the trophies.”

A great day of bowling and socialising at Eltham Bowling club today, Easter Saturday. Perfect day for it with nearly 40 in attendance filling 6 rinks. We played two games of ten ends with a lovely afternoon tea put on by our special events committee. Well done Maureen,Betsy, Normie,Kaye and of course Chuckles who provided special pies and sausage rolls.

The Mixed Pairs was conducted on Sunday 11th January.
The final round was contested between Ros & Frank Camera & Isobel & Phil Bamforth. With Frank & Ros taking out the honour's.
