Attention all Wednesday sporters club members.

Saturday 28 November is our presentation night at the club. Seated by 6:30pm.

In addition to prizes being awarded we will enjoy a beautiful meal and dessert. The meal is free and there will be a bar tab. The night is open to members, wives, partners and children.

Whether you played two games or 42 this is a night for you and loved ones.

A sheet will be put on the noticeboard near the sporters bar next week so we know how many to cater for. I have put some names on the sheet who I know are attending. Please review and add the number in your party.

So who win the coveted most pin shots award? Will it be a three peat for Karl Janetzki?

The George Hatchett Memorial Trophy for the winner of the medal final will be announced.

⛳ ANOTHER COURSE IMPROVEMENT AT EGC!

A big day of work at the club today, with 33 metres of concrete, generously donated by the Sporters Club, laid in front of the machinery shed on the 18th. It’s come up fantastic! 👏

Today an amazing 47 players competed in the sporters club competition. 👏👏

We welcomed new members Rick Bichel, Callum Waddell, Joey Taylor Snr and Callum Ryan. 👏👏

Special mention of Chopper and Carolyn Jacobson who stopped by for a game. This Saturday is a special event at Blackwater golf course to honour Choppers late dad Mike. After the game Mike's ashes will be spread over the 6th green. A fitting tribute to a man who redefine the word legend. RIP Mike. ❤️

The first time winner was Steele Childs on 26 points on a countback from Gary Deacon. All winnings donated back.

This Friday more concrete donated by sporters club is being laid to the left of 18 green. Drinks and lunch will be provided to volunteers.

The medal winner was Gavin Fielder on 26 points, runner up was Pete Bailey on 25 points and third was Mick Stanton on 24 points on a countback from Reggie Parter and Noel Cavenagh.

Pinshots won by Shaun Parter, Reggie Parter all money donated back and Ian Janetzki. Long drive on 14 won by Reggie which was donated back. No one claimed the prize for nearest the target on 13 or 16.

Emerald Golf Club is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable casual Bar/Venue Supervisor to join our team.

This hands-on role will involve supervising day-to-day venue operations, supporting the bar team, assisting with functions and helping us deliver friendly, professional service to our members and guests.

We’re looking for someone who:

✅ Holds current RSA and RSG certificates
✅ Has strong customer-service and communication skills
✅ Is confident working independently and leading a team
✅ Is reliable, organised and comfortable in a busy environment
✅ Can work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends

Hospitality or supervisory experience would be highly regarded.

🔨 WORKS UNDERWAY AT THE EGC

A quick heads-up to our members that work will be underway on the benchtops in the outdoor area for most of this week as we continue making improvements around the clubhouse.
