🎾 Junior Fixtures — Term 3 Wrap-Up! 🎾

And that’s a wrap on another fantastic term of Junior Fixtures! 🙌

A huge well done to all our junior players who took to the courts each week, competed hard, supported their teammates and, most importantly, had fun playing tennis. 💪🎾

We love seeing our juniors developing their skills, confidence and sportsmanship each week — and watching them grow as players is what it’s all about! ❤️

A big thank you to all our parents and helpers for getting everyone to the courts and supporting our junior fixtures. 👏

Now, we’re looking forward to next term… when things get even more exciting with SUPER TIE-BREAKS! 🔥🎾

🎾 MATCHPLAY 100 — FAMILY RIVALRY! 😂

One of the best things about tennis is that it’s a sport you can play as a family — although we’re not sure everyone is still speaking to each other after some of these matches! 😂

It’s been fantastic seeing so many families hitting the courts together for MatchPlay 100 — parents taking on kids, siblings battling it out and plenty of friendly competition along the way. 🎾🔥

The points are great, but the real win is seeing families getting active, spending time together and enjoying tennis together. ❤️

Keep those family matches coming… and may the best family member win! 🏆😂

💚🎾 SUPER PROUD OF YOU, HARRY! 🎾💚

This year Harry took the leap and started travelling to JDS tournaments, competing against players from across our region. He’s been training hard and it’s been fantastic to see his confidence and game grow! 👏

This weekend, Harry teamed up with Isaiah in the Under 11 Boys Doubles and they finished runners-up after a very close final, going down 6–4, 6–4. 🥈

The second set was something special — down 5–0, the boys locked in and fought their way back to 5–4! 💪🔥

It was so cool watching them work together — high fives, talking strategy, switching, backing each other up and volleying like ninjas! 🥷🎾

Harry, you should be so proud of how far you’ve come this year. Keep working hard and keep believing! 💚

A huge congratulations to Jacinta and her partner from Bilo on taking out the Under 13 Girls Doubles Final! 👏

It was an absolute battle, with the girls fighting their way to victory 3-6, 6-2, 10-3 in a super tie-break! 🔥

What an incredible effort, ladies! 💪🎾 Well done! 🏆❤️

💚🎾 GO TEAM EMERALD! 🎾💚

Emerald players made the 4-hour “leisurely” drive to Gladstone this weekend to compete at the Central JDS Finals — and boy, did they compete! 🔥🎾

We’re coming home with some shiny trophies! 🏆

🥇 Isaiah took out the Under 11 Boys Singles
🥇 Joe took out the Under 15 Boys Singles

And there’s even more to celebrate… 🙌

Both boys have been selected in the Central Team and will now represent Central at the Queensland JDS Finals in October! 💪🎾

We couldn’t be prouder of these two — hard work, determination and plenty of kilometres on the road! 🚗😂

Now it’s time to get behind Team Central as we head to the State Finals…

🎾 THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE JDS ❤️ 🎾

A successful JDS doesn’t just happen because of the players on court. It takes a small army of amazing people behind the scenes — and this weekend, our volunteers absolutely smashed it! 👏

To all the parents who gave up their time to set up gazebos, pull out chairs, jump on the BBQ, help in the canteen and pitch in wherever needed — thank you! Your help is valued more than you know. ❤️

🎾 Vince — for coming out for the weekend and taking on the important job of officiating. We really appreciate you giving up your weekend to help our players.

🎾 Jill & Ben — for court supervising, keeping an eye on things and helping our kids have fair and enjoyable matches.

🎾 Mrs Jett — for running our Under 10 officiating program and wrangling our more experienced players to get out on court and help our younger, less experienced players. What a great way to teach our kids that tennis is about more than just winning! 👏

🎾 Elly — our canteen queen 👑 — for managing the canteen, keeping everything stocked up and, of course, making sure the prosecco glasses were topped up on Saturday night! 🥂😂

🎾 The Smyth Family — Linda for organising all the food for the weekend and Kim for the early morning bacon and egg muffin BBQs and the lunchtime BBQs. Keeping everyone fed is no small job! 🌭🥓🍳❤️

🎾 Joe & Bora — who stepped up as part of their Emerging Leaders course, helping with tournament directing and officiating throughout the weekend. 👏🎾

🎾 Lesley — for coordinating, helping wherever needed, getting our Mindset Challenge happening for the players and keeping things moving behind the scenes — plus finding time for a little MasterChef action with the butter chicken and pulled pork! 👩‍🍳😂

🎾 Mrs Simpson — for being behind the camera and capturing all those special moments from the weekend. 📸❤️

🎾 Donna — our super Tournament Director! 👏

And somehow she survived the constant chorus of “When is my next match?” without her brain completely exploding! 😂😂

And finally, an honourable mention to Dane and Mr Declan (AKA Tim Nelson) for stepping in to umpire two sibling matches that had a very real potential to go pear-shaped! 😂🎾👏

To every single person who helped, whether you were here for the whole weekend or just jumped in when needed — THANK YOU.
