๐พ Junior Fixtures โ Term 3 Wrap-Up! ๐พ
And thatโs a wrap on another fantastic term of Junior Fixtures! ๐
A huge well done to all our junior players who took to the courts each week, competed hard, supported their teammates and, most importantly, had fun playing tennis. ๐ช๐พ
We love seeing our juniors developing their skills, confidence and sportsmanship each week โ and watching them grow as players is what itโs all about! โค๏ธ
A big thank you to all our parents and helpers for getting everyone to the courts and supporting our junior fixtures. ๐
Now, weโre looking forward to next termโฆ when things get even more exciting with SUPER TIE-BREAKS! ๐ฅ๐พ
Bring on Term 4! ๐ฅ

๐พ MATCHPLAY 100 โ FAMILY RIVALRY! ๐
One of the best things about tennis is that itโs a sport you can play as a family โ although weโre not sure everyone is still speaking to each other after some of these matches! ๐
Itโs been fantastic seeing so many families hitting the courts together for MatchPlay 100 โ parents taking on kids, siblings battling it out and plenty of friendly competition along the way. ๐พ๐ฅ
The points are great, but the real win is seeing families getting active, spending time together and enjoying tennis together. โค๏ธ
Keep those family matches comingโฆ and may the best family member win! ๐๐

๐๐พ SUPER PROUD OF YOU, HARRY! ๐พ๐
This year Harry took the leap and started travelling to JDS tournaments, competing against players from across our region. Heโs been training hard and itโs been fantastic to see his confidence and game grow! ๐
This weekend, Harry teamed up with Isaiah in the Under 11 Boys Doubles and they finished runners-up after a very close final, going down 6โ4, 6โ4. ๐ฅ
The second set was something special โ down 5โ0, the boys locked in and fought their way back to 5โ4! ๐ช๐ฅ
It was so cool watching them work together โ high fives, talking strategy, switching, backing each other up and volleying like ninjas! ๐ฅท๐พ
Harry, you should be so proud of how far youโve come this year. Keep working hard and keep believing! ๐

What an incredible effort, ladies! ๐ช๐พ Well done! ๐โค๏ธ

๐พ THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE JDS โค๏ธ ๐พ
A successful JDS doesnโt just happen because of the players on court. It takes a small army of amazing people behind the scenes โ and this weekend, our volunteers absolutely smashed it! ๐
To all the parents who gave up their time to set up gazebos, pull out chairs, jump on the BBQ, help in the canteen and pitch in wherever needed โ thank you! Your help is valued more than you know. โค๏ธ
A special thank you to:
๐พ Vince โ for coming out for the weekend and taking on the important job of officiating. We really appreciate you giving up your weekend to help our players.
๐พ Jill & Ben โ for court supervising, keeping an eye on things and helping our kids have fair and enjoyable matches.
๐พ Mrs Jett โ for running our Under 10 officiating program and wrangling our more experienced players to get out on court and help our younger, less experienced players. What a great way to teach our kids that tennis is about more than just winning! ๐
๐พ Elly โ our canteen queen ๐ โ for managing the canteen, keeping everything stocked up and, of course, making sure the prosecco glasses were topped up on Saturday night! ๐ฅ๐
๐พ The Smyth Family โ Linda for organising all the food for the weekend and Kim for the early morning bacon and egg muffin BBQs and the lunchtime BBQs. Keeping everyone fed is no small job! ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ณโค๏ธ
๐พ Joe & Bora โ who stepped up as part of their Emerging Leaders course, helping with tournament directing and officiating throughout the weekend. ๐๐พ
๐พ Lesley โ for coordinating, helping wherever needed, getting our Mindset Challenge happening for the players and keeping things moving behind the scenes โ plus finding time for a little MasterChef action with the butter chicken and pulled pork! ๐ฉโ๐ณ๐
๐พ Mrs Simpson โ for being behind the camera and capturing all those special moments from the weekend. ๐ธโค๏ธ
๐พ Donna โ our super Tournament Director! ๐
47 players.
130+ matches.
10 courts.
One very busy weekend.
And somehow she survived the constant chorus of โWhen is my next match?โ without her brain completely exploding! ๐๐
And finally, an honourable mention to Dane and Mr Declan (AKA Tim Nelson) for stepping in to umpire two sibling matches that had a very real potential to go pear-shaped! ๐๐พ๐
To every single person who helped, whether you were here for the whole weekend or just jumped in when needed โ THANK YOU.
You are what makes our JDS more than just a tennis tournament. You help create a place where our kids can compete, learn, make friends and have fun. โค๏ธ
We couldnโt do it without you! ๐พ๐
