Encounter Bay Bowling Club Inc. We are a Regional bowling club in South Australia, located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, “The Friendly Club”. Our 3 synthetic greens allow all-year round bowling.

Another beautiful afternoon for the Bay 3s this week, sponsored by Victor Harbor Physio. Competition was fierce and the final scores were close, one team missing out on third place by just 1 shot.
The winners were Ken Jarvis, David Furner and Heather Cochrane with 31 plus 22. Second place went to Jean Jackson, Bill Gray and Bernice Humphrys with 31 plus 11. In third spot were Paul Mason, Terry Hobart and Kerren Warren with 31 plus 9.
A big thank you to all the great volunteers who made the day happen.

2nd were Bob Siostrom and Greg Pearson on 60 plus 29
3rd were Paul Mason and Barrey Niven on 57 plus 33

Representatives of the 13 GSBA Club gathered at Aldinga BC Sunday afternoon for the opening of the 2026/27 bowling season. After a warm welcome by President Daryl Cearns, Patron and Life Member, our own June Halstead declared the season open. A game of Waterloo followed by an excellent afternoon tea prepared by the Aldinga BC volunteers.
Then came the presentation of plaques to Champion of Champion and 25/26 Pennant winners.
History was made when Patron June had the pleasure to present the Division 4 plaque to her son Trevor Halstead, a member of our winning Division 4 Pennant Team.

Saturday Bowls
Early Saturday morning the Club carpark was abuzz as 4 Pennant teams gathered sorted the transport and headed to Murray Bridge BC for an external trial.
Left at home more Pennant players engaged in an internal trial and social bowlers.
SA Design and print sponsored Saturday Social Bowls which resulted in a win to Sue Riches and Mark Evans with a score of 33 + 7. Second place went to John Hewitt, Terry Hobart and Peter Willson with a score of 31 + 13.

A very pleasant afternoon to be bowling today for the Prouds President’s Pairs. A great turnout of 68 bowlers, filling all 3 greens. The winners of the day were Bob Siostrom and Greg Pearson with a great score of 58 plus 21. Second place went to Leigh Philp and Max Davey with 56 plus 31. Marg Mayfield and Sid Rolfe came in at third with 56 plus 16.
