MINISTERS MEETING

Following up from the meeting with the Police Minister, Michael Brown MP.

The meeting was very well received by the Minister.

The outcome from the meeting is that there no changes planned for the South Australian fi****ms act.

It was also repeated that there is no plan for a buy-back, this has also been stated by the Premier in an earlier Parliament speech.

This was a great result that also included an ongoing consultation agenda with the South Australian Dealers Group, (SAFDAC).

THIS IS DUE TO HAVING A MEETING WITH THE POLICE MINISTER IN AN ATTEMPT TO OBTAIN CLARIFICATION ON ANY POSSIBLE CHANGES TO LEGISLATION IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA.

ALTHOUGH WE MAY NOT GET ALL THE ANSWERS ON THE DAY WE FEEL THAT THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO ACHIEVE AN ONGOING DIALOGUE WITH THE GOVERNMENT AND HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ADVISE AND DIRECT TO OBTAIN THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOME.

PART OF THE DISCUSSIONS WILL ALSO BE CENTRED AROUND THE RECENTLY AGREED NATIONAL FI****MS AGREEMENT (NFA), WHICH ALL STATES AND TERRITORIES SIGNED OFF LAST WEEK.
