π° Frog Hollow parkrun Weekly Wrap β Event #571 πΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Saturday, 29th August 2026
This week, 151 legends ran, jogged, walked and generally made their way around the Frog Hollow course. Whether you were chasing a Personal Best, catching up with mates, or simply trying to convince yourself that getting out of bed was a good idea, weβre glad you joined us! ππ
A huge welcome goes out to our 24 first timers! π We hope you enjoyed your first taste of Frog Hollow and that youβve already started planning your return visit.
And how about those speedy people! π¨ 20 participants recorded new Personal Bests this week. Clearly, there was something in the Frog Hollow waterβ¦ although we probably donβt recommend drinking it! π€£πΈ
We also welcomed representatives from 12 different clubs, proving once again that Frog Hollow is the place to be on a Saturday morning!
Of course, parkrun doesn't happen by magic. Well, unless you count the magical powers of our amazing volunteers! β¨
This week's event was made possible by these 11 absolute CHAMPIONS:
π Darren BEDFORD
π Noel BURKE
π Jeffrey MCLEAN
π Ross TENNANT
π Amy BLACKWOOD
π Glenn MOLONEY
π Gary HOLLAND
π Gay BOURKE
π Kelly STRAY
π Amanda HOLMES
π Odette CAINS
Give them all a massive round of applause! πππ Without volunteers, there would be no timers, no scanners, no resultsβ¦ and probably just 151 people wandering around wondering when theyβre allowed to go home! π
Frog Hollow parkrun first kicked off on 14th June 2014, and since then, things have certainly added up!
πΈ 8,075 participants
π 52,163 parkruns completed
π 260,815 kilometres covered
β‘ 6,941 new Personal Bests
π¦Έ 754 volunteers
π 5,371 volunteer occasions
Thatβs a lot of kilometres, a lot of Saturday mornings, and an absolutely ridiculous number of alarms going off before sunrise! β°π€£
Whether you're running, jogging, walking, volunteering, cheering, chatting or simply turning up for the post-parkrun catch-up, Frog Hollow is what it is because of its amazing community. ππΈ
Thanks to everyone who joined us for Event #571, and weβll see you all next Saturday for another dose of fresh air, friendly faces and questionable decisions about how fast to start the first kilometre! ππββοΈπ¨
Same place. Same time. Same brilliant Frog Hollow community! πΈπ
