FNSW CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
Rovers Cruise to 4–0 Victory Over Yagoona Lions
West Ryde Rovers continued their FNSW Champion of Champions campaign in impressive fashion on Sunday, recording a convincing 4–0 victory over Yagoona Lions.
Low on numbers but not in spirit, Rovers started brightly and controlled much of the opening half, creating a number of opportunities without being able to add to the scoreboard early.
The breakthrough finally came before half-time, with Jayden providing the assist for Shay, who finished clinically to give Rovers a deserved 1–0 lead at the break.
Rovers came out with renewed purpose in the second half and quickly began to take control of the contest.
Thomas played a key role in the second goal, crossing to Mitch to double the Rovers advantage.
Thomas was involved again shortly afterwards, this time providing the assist for Kal, who found the back of the net to make it 3–0.
With Rovers firmly in control, there was still time for Thomas to get on the scoresheet himself. The striker capped off an outstanding individual contribution by scoring the final goal of the afternoon, completing a 4–0 victory.
A strong all-round performance from Rovers, with four different goalscorers and Thomas contributing two assists before getting his own name on the scoresheet.

Rovers Finish Regular Season with a Gritty Win at Fred Caterson
On a drizzly day at Fred Caterson Reserve, West Ryde Rovers travelled to face Castle Hill United for the final game of the NWSF Premier League regular season, with plenty on the line in both grades.

Reserve Grade: Castle Hill United 2–0 West Ryde Rovers
With finals football at stake and a draw enough to guarantee their spot, Rovers’ Reserve Grade side went into the game low on numbers, with several players filling unfamiliar positions.
The boys battled hard and looked set to secure the result they needed, but two late goals saw the home side claim all three points.
Thankfully results went our way, seeing the boys finish the season in the top 6.

First Grade: Castle Hill United 0–2 West Ryde Rovers
First Grade knew a win would cement second spot heading into the finals, and they got off to the perfect start.
Thomas Guillo opened the scoring inside the first five minutes, giving Rovers an early lead. At the other end, keeper Will was strong between the sticks, helping keep the home side at bay.
Early in the second half, Dylan was brought down inside the box, earning Rovers a penalty. Thomas Guillo stepped up and calmly sent the keeper the wrong way to double the lead.
From there, Rovers dug deep, grinding out the result with some gritty defensive work to secure a well-earned 2–0 victory.
