The 2026 JDS GBS125 Vida Epping is a Tennis Australia endorsed event held at the Casa D'Abruzzo Club in Epping.

Entry is now Open for the junior event, which is held over two days with 10&U, 12&U, and 16&U age groups available. This will be a singles only event.

10&U Singles - Part of the Tennis Victoria Green Ball Series
The Tennis Victoria Green Ball Series is designed to offer 10/U players a progression from local
competitions to state-level representation while also serving as a qualifying pathway for the Super 10s program. This is the next step after Super Orange in our talent pathway. Vida Tennis runs a number of these events each year.

12&U and 16&U Singles
These Junior Development Series age groups will be round robin to allow all players to play a number of matches over the two days, with matches going towards a players UTR rating.

A question we often get from parents — what size racquet should my child be using? 🎾

There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer, but this guide is a great starting point. Age, height, strength and playing level all play a part.

A simple guide:
🔴 Red Ball (5-8 yrs): 19""-23"" racquet
🟠 Orange Ball (8-10 yrs): 23""-25"" racquet
🟢 Green Ball (9-11 yrs): 25""-26"" racquet
🟡 Yellow Ball (11+ yrs): 26""-27"" racquet (depending on height and strength)

Remember, age is only a guide. A player's height, strength and stage of development are the most important factors.

Before buying the next racquet, ask your coach. The right racquet today will help your child improve much faster than one they'll "grow into."
