We’re so proud to have won the Swim Australia Award for Customer Service & Brand Impact! ⭐️

For us, being more than a swim school means creating experiences that go beyond the pool. It’s about supporting families, building relationships, celebrating milestones and helping create safer swimmers for life.

Since starting with one backyard pool in 1982, we’ve grown to six centres, over 150 staff and more than 8,000 students. But through it all, one thing has stayed the same: people will always come first.

This award is a reflection of our incredible team, the families who trust us with their swimming journey and the community that has supported us along the way.

A very special moment in the pool today! 💕

Debby had the absolute privilege of giving 11-week-old Oakley her very first swimming lesson with mum Becca.

Oakley’s dad, Kiran, swam with Debby for many years, becoming a national-level swimmer whose talent and dedication took him to the US on a college swimming scholarship. Sadly, COVID brought his college swimming journey to an early end, but during his time there he met the love of his life. He and Becca are now happily settled in the States with their beautiful little girl.

Back for a few weeks to visit, the family dropped in to share this special milestone—and Oakley was a little water baby, so relaxed and happy in the water! 💦

For Debby, watching her swimmers grow up and then welcoming their children into the pool is one of the greatest joys of a lifetime spent teaching and coaching. Being part of Kiran’s swimming journey and now sharing the beginning of Oakley’s is something truly special.

Thank you, Kiran and Becca, for such a beautiful visit. 💙

Whether it’s their first lesson, a new instructor or simply a day when they need a little extra reassurance, every child finds their confidence in their own time.

At 5 Star, we focus on building trust, creating positive experiences and celebrating the little steps that lead to big progress.

Talking about swimming on the way to and from lessons is a simple way to help your child prepare, reflect on what they’ve learnt and celebrate their progress.

Ask what they’re looking forward to, what they enjoyed or what they found tricky. You don’t need all the answers, just showing an interest makes a difference.
