Kristy Rose Academy of Dance

Confidence before an exam rarely looks dramatic. It looks like knowing the order without waiting for a prompt, recovering quickly when something slips, and walking into the room ready to show the work.

That is what our exam students are building now, one class and one correction at a time.

September is here, and Term 3 has moved into its final stretch. The studios feel settled now. Choreography is taking shape, exam work is becoming more precise, and students are arriving knowing exactly what they are working towards.

This is not the loudest part of the year, but it is where consistency starts becoming visible.

August is done and Term 3 is more than halfway through.

Exam prep is underway. Costumes are locked in. Gala choreography is taking shape in every studio, every week. None of this happens quickly, and none of it happens by accident.

To every family still showing up, every week, through a busy back half of the year, thank you. September brings more of the same steady work, and we would not want it any other way.

Some of our families have been with us for years. Some started this term.

What we notice, across all of them, is the same thing. Parents chatting at pickup who did not know each other in April. Older students helping younger ones tie their shoes. A studio that feels less like a business and more like a place people belong to.

That is hard to capture in a single photo, but it is the part that matters most.

"Our daughter has been at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance since she was 3 years old and is now in her 5th year at the studio. The studio has built the most beautiful love and passion for dance for our daughter, and we have loved being able to see her blossom under their support, care and inclusive family community.

Over her time at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance, she has grown in ways we never would have imagined. She has gone from dancing 2 classes a week to now 13 classes a week as well as being fortunate enough to join Ascend Pre-Professional Dance this year, which has only helped her develop even more. We have seen her skills, technique and artistry across all styles thrive under the guidance of the staff at Kristy Rose and Ascend. Particularly her personal growth in Acrobatics skills in the recent months.

She has overcome behavioral challenges, particularly in the last 6 months, through the continuing support and communication of the teachers at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance. This has built a maturity in our daughter where she thrives on independence and achieving her goals through ongoing collaboration between us and the team at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance and Ascend Pre-Professional. Her teachers are patient, warm and show genuine care for their students while providing a positive environment to learn the art of dance.

We have watched her confidence and resilience grow both on and off stage, friendships flourish and love for dance continue to shine. The staff at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance have been nothing short of incredible and we are forever grateful for the priceless experiences provided to us across our time there. We look forward to many more years at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance."

Behind every shot is a class full of students who showed up, worked hard, and let the camera catch something real.

Our Acrobatic Arts students are deep in exam prep too.

Strength work has picked up. Skills they learned earlier in the year are getting drilled again and again, not because they cannot do them, but because an exam needs them done the same way, every single time.

That is what the second half of Term 3 looks like for this group. A lot of repetition, done on purpose.

Evelyn began her dance journey with Kristy Rose in 2022, attending just one acrobatics class each week. Since then, her love of dance has grown immensely!

Evelyn now attends over 10 classes each week, is an exam student in both RAD Ballet and Acrobatic Arts, and in 2026 took another exciting step in her training by joining our in-house extension program, Ascend Pre-Pro.

Evelyn is a dedicated student with an evident passion for dance and the performing arts. She has shown incredible growth and improvement this year, and we are so proud of the dancer she is becoming.

Exam season is a real milestone for our RAD ballet students.

Term 3 is when preparation gets serious, when weeks of technical work start showing up as dancers enter the studio and demonstrate with confidence. It is a documented achievement, the kind that marks real progress in a dancer's training.
