National Carnival Fundraiser – Lucky Squares!

Help send our players to Newcastle for the 2026 AFL Masters National Carnival – and you could win a meat tray while you're at it!

100 squares up for grabs at just $5 each. Two winners will be drawn Saturday morning at 9am, with each taking home a meat tray generously donated by My Butcher. Delivery for winning trays to be organised after the draw.

Russell Ebert Memorial cup

The peninsula boys traveled to Lyrup , to play Riverland Superdogs AFL Masters Football Club

Some of the boys travelled up the day before to take in the surroundings and hospitality of the local club. Which they did at the next level 🍻🍻

A couple of players/coach , donated some revenue to the local Blanchtown sheriff 👮🏼‍♂️💰💰
The names have been suppressed to protect their identity ( let them break the news to there wife’s 😆😆😬😬)

The day was warm , the ground in amazing condition, football was the winner

PMMFC only had 14 soldiers, so it was agreed that they were allowed to play a lad in the PMMFC
Academy system, a father /son selection plus the Riverland allowed a young lad from the Riverland to play 💪🏼
Both were very impressive, young Christan slotting a goal from 30m , chip off his fathers block, loves kicking a goal 😆
With Robbie J running around, there was 60years between the youngest to oldest player on the oval .

We had the privilege of having Russell Eberts sister and grandsons toss the coin

The game was played In true masters fashion, in front of a big ladies day crowd .

The Superdogs retained the Ebert Cup for another year 🏆
Congrats to Coach Dexter and his team 💪🏼💪🏼

Well done to Ben for shaving off his beard and raising over $2000 for Novita charity 👏👏👏

Before the Peninsula boys belted out their team song for the last time ,” More b**r more b**r”
They sang happy birthday for Mitch Benson 🎂🥳

On Sunday 30th August, Peninsula Magpies are travelling to the beautiful Riverland to play Riverland Superdogs AFL Masters Football Club for the “Russell Ebert Memorial Cup”

Russell was a Riverland boy before moving to Port Adelaide magpies

With an outstanding playing and coaching career , he would win a record 4 Magarey medals

The Peninsula Magpies and Riverland Superdogs have battled for this honourable trophy for the last 4 years

Russell’s off field days were to work with many Charities 🖤🤍🖤🤍

His legacy and his achievements will never be forgotten by those who respect the great man 🤍🖤🤍💪🏼
