🏉👏 Congratulations, girls!

What an outstanding achievement by the Evans River K-12 Community School 14s Girls Rugby League team!

After a brilliant performance at the Far North Coast Jamie Chapman Rugby League 9s competition, the girls have earned their place in the North Coast Regional 9s Finals in Coffs Harbour on 22 September.

Everyone at Club Evans RSL is incredibly proud of the team. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and supporters—and best of luck at the regional finals! 💪🏆

🏉 𝟭𝟰𝘀 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗥𝘂𝗴𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀! 🏉

Congratulations to our 14s Girls Rugby League team, who had a fantastic day at the Far North Coast Jamie Chapman Rugby League 9s competition in Ballina!

The girls started strongly with a 25–20 win over Casino High, before producing an impressive 33–4 victory over Kyogle High to finish top of Pool A and progress to the tri-series finals.

After a tough 17–8 loss to a strong Ballina Coast side, the girls needed a win against Tweed River High to qualify for the North Coast Regional Finals. They rose to the challenge! 💪

Leading 13–4 at half-time, the girls held off a determined Tweed comeback, defending multiple sets on their own goal line to secure a brilliant 17–12 victory.

The whole team played outstanding rugby league, with special mentions to captain Abby for her courageous defence and Ondreyah for her powerful running throughout the day.
