🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: ROSE 🌟

Meet Rose! 💪

Rose joined the gym with one goal in mind to become fit and strong. And she’s certainly achieved that! She’s most proud of building muscle, gaining strength, and staying committed to her health and fitness journey. 🙌

These days, you’ll find Rose starting her mornings bright and early at 5:30am, getting her cardio in on the cross trainer and bike 🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️. She also loves keeping active with our group fitness classes throughout the week.

But for Rose, it’s not just about the workouts. One of the things she enjoys most about training at our Leisure Centres is the social atmosphere. Along the way, she’s made plenty of friends and found a community that keeps her coming back.

Rose’s advice to anyone starting out:
“Do it for your health and don’t stop!”

🌟MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: LUIS🌟

💪Staying healthy has always been a priority for Luis. He believes that staying active whether it's lifting weights or going for a walk is key to being his best self.

👉One of his biggest achievements has been building consistency. After struggling to stick to a program in the past, Exercise specialist Daniela P created a plan based on what he enjoys, helping him stay committed.

Luis now trains four times a week, focusing on different muscle groups and adding cardio throughout the week.
🏋️‍♂️Luis loves the welcoming atmosphere at the gym and says the friendly, supportive staff have made every visit enjoyable. Luis says, ‘every time I have a question, there is a resolution and a nice chat, which I really enjoy.’

🤩His advice to someone just starting is to remember that progress is not always linear! Give yourself grace on the days you don’t feel your best; rest is just as important. Get back up on the horse and go hard!

Every drowning is preventable 💙

Join Fairfield City Leisure Centres and Royal Life Saving - NSW ACT Tasmania on 25 July for World Drowning Prevention Day at Prairiewood Leisure Centre for a fun and important day learning about water safety, drowning prevention and CPR skills.

There’ll be a CPR presentation, reach and throw rescues, survival skills challenges, a duck race, giveaways and a chance to snap a photo with ActiveGator! 🐊

Open to all Fairfield City Leisure Centres customers. No registration required.

✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Babel ✨

Babel joined our Centres and her fitness journey to feel stronger and stay fit.

Since starting, she's noticed a huge difference, lifting heavier, spending more time training, and most importantly, gaining confidence along the way. 🤩

Her current routine includes four days of strength training and one day of cardio each week. What she loves most about our gym is the incredible community, saying she feels empowered and supported every time she walks through the doors. ✨

👉Her advice for anyone just starting their fitness journey? Stay consistent, trust the process, and never give up on yourself.

UPDATE 8/7/26: Unexpected issues and further maintenance will result in the pool being closed one extra day on Thursday, 9 July. The pool will re-open on Friday with a lower temperature and is expected to rise over the weekend.

PRAIRIEWOOD 25m POOL WILL BE CLOSED for essential maintenance on Monday 6th, Tuesday 7th & Wednesday 8th July.

The pool will re-open on Thursday at a lower water temperature and is expected to be near full temperature on Friday.

The 50m outdoor heated pool will still be available, as well as indoor pools at Cabravale and Fairfield Leisure Centres
