Sometimes I just don’t feel like I have words that match the feels I get.

Like when someone posts that a loved one or much loved horse or pet has died, I just feel it so deeply that words can’t capture it. So if I reply with I’m so sorry, followed by emojis it’s because I’m with you and feeling your loss. 🙏🏻

Excellent news

Norway has just banned generative AI from primary schools. Screens are being replaced with printed textbooks.

Smartphones have been out of Norwegian schools since 2024.

The results? Studies have shown an improvement in student grades, a significant decline in playground and digital bullying, and a 60% drop in visits to psychological specialists for anxiety and mental health support.

In Steiner classrooms, this has been our practice for seventy years. Screens introduced late, thoughtfully, and only when developmentally appropriate. Not because we were against technology but because we were watching what unchecked technology was doing to childhood.

The world is catching up.

ANOTHER BIG NIGHT

I’m currently sitting listening to some wild weather roll in around us so glad the horses got a break from it this morning. If it goes on too long I usually open up the indoor for them and it gives them some respite from the weather. They do have plenty of shelter from the wind and the rain, which is a really important part of keeping horses in this part of the world. They need to be able to escape not only the wind and rain, but the heat and cold.

Resting after the storm 💨 🌧️

Just like us after a big night, or when we’ve been under stress, the horses are exhausted being on watch all night with the wind. We know it’s unlikely for these guys but as prey animals wind makes everything restless. They’re all enjoying a well earned rest after a wild night.

I love my job 🥰🙏🏻

I love working with ADHD kids. I’ve seen them in the classroom setting. Really struggling. Teacher talking down about them ‘just wanting to get out of doing work’. I just want to pick them up, tell them how special they are and one day they’re going to do something amazing 🤩
