This year we’re opening the Fitzroy toddler pool early so families can enjoy some outdoor swimming fun while Collingwood is closed ☀️

Swim School will also be using the toddler pool for lessons in Term 4 🤿

The toddler pool will be open 9am to 6pm every day from Monday 28 September.

Can’t wait to see you in the pool 💦

It could be said it was a writer who made Fitzroy Swimming Pool iconic.

But whether it was Monkey Grip author, Helen Garner, or pool manager James Murphy, who painted the famously misspelt “Aqua Profunda” to warn migrants of the deep-end risk in the ’50s – who’s to say?

What we do know is that Fitzroy Swimming Pool has long been beloved by those of a literary mind and countenance.

That was firmly reinforced last Friday, when Emerging Writers' Festival Festival took to the pool deck at sunset for The Writer Aquatic – an evening of poetic musings by emerging writers, dedicated to the vital yet humble public pool.

A fitting setting for a little literary swimming.

It's the pointy end of the footy season again with the AFL Grand Final Day public holiday on Friday 25 September 🏈

For those who love footy, you'll probably be watching – may the best team win 🏆
For those who do not, come and join us for a swim, gym, class or round of golf on your day off 🏊🏋️⛳

Heads up our opening hours and timetable will be a little different.

Leisure Centres:
🕗 Opening hours - 8am to 6pm
🧘‍♂️ Modified timetable

Burnley Golf Course:
🕖 First Tee Time - 7am
🕓 Last Tee Time - 4pm
🏌️‍♂️ Last entry for practice - 5.15pm

We’re back!

The HVAC at Richmond Recreation Centre is installed and we are ready to hit the ground running tomorrow!

All classes will be running as usual with the first virtual class starting at 6:15am 😍

It's the last week of Term 3 Swim School at Collingwood Leisure Centre as we get ready for the electrification project closure⚡🙌

We hope you've been able to enrol in a new class at Fitzroy Swimming Pool or Richmond Recreation Centre for Term 4 and look forward to seeing you there 🏊‍♂️

Enrolments are open for our September Holiday Program at Richmond, starting from Monday 28 September, so sign up if you want to level up or learn new skills over the break ✨

Remember your Swim School membership includes unlimited visits to the pool even when school is out 💦
