Well well well, what a fantastic return to Friday night crit racing at Ipswich Cycle Park, 48 riders took to the track and showed everyone how it's done.
Great numbers in all grades, especially B, thanks to the healthy competition from the participants from BNECC.
Well done to everyone for keeping it rubber side down. As always many thanks to our myriad of volunteers, from roo spotter, rego, set up, pack down, comms and first aid, these events don't happen without you.
Our next event will be a midweek crit on Wednesday 16th September, keep an eye on our socials over the coming weeks and get your entries in.

While the weather kept our numbers a bit on the light side, plenty of fun was had by all last night at Ipswich Cycle Park. Good racing and great camaraderie from everyone. For those that have their entry vouchers, pin them up on the corkboard, or on the fridge so you don't loose them as we're taking a break over winter, we'll be back, first Friday night in September, when it's a tad warmer. Many thanks to our volunteers, Sharon, James, Laurelle, Clint and Mark, and to Brett and Steve from ADF Cycling for set up and pack down. Keep pedalling, stay warm and well fed and we'll see you soon.

RACE REPORTS- it’s been a while since some reports have been done, so there’s a bit of catching up to do as race season has been going for a e few months. I apologise in advance if I leave anyone out, or miss any events 😬
So let’s work our way backwards- last weekend saw quite a few of our club members participating in the “Balmoral Metros” which is a series in its own rights with a Crit race on the Saturday at Muzz and a Road Race on Sunday out at the 31km Kalbar course with over 500m elevation. Riders could choose to do the whole event, or either day. The road race also forms part of the QCRS series, this being round 2.

Congratulations Sean on completing the 800km Queensland Fire Department Bike4Burns from Bundaberg to Brisbane 👏👏👏. This ride raises funds for the Queensland Children’s Hospital. ❤️
Congratulations on your epic achievement and for supporting a wonderful cause. A long magnesium bath and a good massage are in order!

Many thanks to everyone who braved the declining temperatures in Ipswich last night for the May edition of our Friday Night Crit. Great racing all round, even a photo finish for D grade.
Excellent numbers in the senior grades, and the kids got in on the action as well. Our own Roland Degen was the odd man out with the rest of open grade made up by the purple army.
For those wishing to claim their winnings please email [email protected] prior to the next crit, for those that got their free entry, see you next month.
Thanks go to our volunteers, Marissa, Wing, Victor, James and Mark, kudos to you all.
See you all again next month, remember to dress appropriately 🥶🤣
Now for the pikkies and results:
