Over 100 locals discovered Trugo at our Open Day on Sunday ❤️ With clear blue skies, it was a beautiful day for a tonk.
The barbie was sizzling, the new clubhouse was open and Trugo history tales were told.
Plus our huge thanks to The Bobcats for their live performance including “The Trugo Song”!

We’re saddened to report that our new pavilion was broken into yesterday.
Some of our playing equipment was stolen, including our ‘game day’ trolley which contained essential Trugo gear such as our playing rings. Also our first aid kit went walkabout.
This stuff has zero value to anyone unless they want to play Trugo. And while we encourage that, theft is uncool.
A pic of our trolley is attached. We’d like to ask that if anyone sees our equipment dumped and lying around the local area, please message the club through this page. Many thanks ❤️

It’s been a massive couple of days for our club!
The Gumnuts played in the Grand Final on Saturday but sadly went down to Sandridge. The Gummies are elite though, having made 5 out of the past 6 GFs, and they’ll be back firing next year.
Then today we were privileged to have Mayor Mohamed Semra - City of Maribyrnong (along with Cr Bernadette Thomas, Cr Samantha Meredith and CEO Celia Haddock) visit us to open the new Trugo pavilion! 11 years in the making, and the result of heaps of advocacy and hard work from our club.
We’re excited at what this means for us and for the community, who will be able to hire the space when it’s not used for Trugo. No more 3x3 marquees! And indoor plumbing! Game on!!
We can’t thank Maribyrnong Council enough. You’ve made all our dreams come true ❤️

Yesterday was the VTA Trugo Premiership preliminary final. Our Gumnuts versus the break-out side of this season, the South Melbourne Penguins.
And it was never in doubt. The Gummies led by 12 at half time, to go on to win by 21. A dominant performance.
The Gums are now into next week’s grand final against top-of-the-table team Sandridge. A replay of last year’s grand final, and the Gumnuts’ 5th grand final in 6 years!

The Doughnuts played in the First Semi Final tonight against the South Melbourne Trugo Club Penguins. And those shifty Pengies rolled our team!
The final score was 144 🐧 versus 135 🍩. Well played to our great friends from South though… they really deserved their hard-fought win.
But hey next week South you’re coming up against the Gumnuts. And they won’t be easy… just saying 😉

It’s VTA Finals time! The Doughnuts are playing South Melbourne tonight in a knockout final
And the Gumnuts are straight through to the Preliminary Final! LFG Footscray
