🛟 WATER SAFETY STARTS BEFORE YOU REACH THE POOL!

💜 At FunKey Swim, we believe water safety is about more than learning to swim. It's about building safe habits and adding layers of protection from the very beginning.

And the great news? Some of these habits start long before your child gets into the water!

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing some simple ways families can help build these layers of protection, starting at home and continuing right through to the pool.

Because sometimes, it's the little things we do consistently that make a big difference.

🎃👻 FORESTDALE HALLOWEEN NIGHT IS BACK! 🕸️🦇

Get your costumes ready, Forestdale! Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and we can’t wait to be part of the spooky fun! 🧙‍♀️🍬

Join us on Saturday 31st October, 4:00pm–6:00pm for an evening of trick-or-treating, costumes and community spirit!

🏡 Want to be a trick-or-treat stop? We need YOU!

You don’t need to decorate your whole house or create a spooky spectacular — simply having some treats ready for little monsters is absolutely fine! 🍭 Every participating house helps make the night extra special for our local kids.

🎃 Here’s what you need to know:
👻 Registration is essential for both families and participating houses.
🧙‍♀️ Dress to impress — prizes will be awarded for the 3 best-dressed monsters!
🍬 More participating houses mean more Halloween fun for everyone!

Learning is even more special when you have a friend beside you.

Thomas and Henry have recently completed their Transition class and are now swimming independently at just 3 years old!

With just the two boys in class this week, we had the opportunity to introduce a skill we hadn't previously been able to work on as a group.

This photo captures Thomas waiting patiently for his turn while his friend Henry has a go — watching, waiting, sharing and learning together.

Because creating connections isn't just about the relationship between teacher and swimmer. It's also about helping children build confidence and connection with the friends they learn alongside.

💜 Mother’s Day at FunKey Swim 💜

Our “My Mum is My Hero Because…” Mother’s Day competition brought so many beautiful moments to our centre! From the funny one-liners to the heartfelt messages (and everything in between), reading through each and every entry gave us plenty of smiles, big laughs, and maybe even a few happy tears 🥹💜

We had a big laugh at the swimmer who told us their mum is a hero because “she gets me Big Macs” 🍔😂 and we definitely got a little emotional reading the many heartfelt messages about how much mums care for us, look after us, comfort us, and make us feel so loved every day.

Truthfully… there was no way we could choose just one winner based on the entries alone! Every message was special in its own way, so instead, we popped all entries into a hat and randomly drew our winner.

🎉 Congratulations to our winner, Ajay! 🎉
Ajay said his mum is his hero because “she is sweet, caring and beautiful.” 💜
We couldn’t agree with Ajay more!
