WELCOME HOME

There are some players who leave a club… and there are some who always remain part of its family.

Franklin Bowls and Community Club is thrilled to welcome home Robert “Rowdie” McMullen as he returns to the club where his bowls journey first began.

Rowdie has built an outstanding career, earning a reputation as one of Tasmania’s premier bowlers. Throughout his career he has represented at the highest levels, collected numerous championships, and earned the respect of teammates and opponents alike through his skill, determination and passion for the game.

To have a player of Rowdie’s calibre returning to Franklin is a huge boost for our club, both on and off the green. His experience, leadership and winning mentality will be invaluable as he mentors our members and helps drive the next generation of bowlers.

Please join us in welcoming Rowdie and his family (Jess Ollie and Teddy) back to Franklin. We can’t wait to see him wearing the blue and gold once again.

As our inaugural season in premier league draws near we are excited to enter the pre season competition as another step in the club’s progress

Our 8th and final BBB26 entry:

Franklin Lions

In Season 25, Franklin Lions entered BBB25 as a composite side with the Dover Diggers as a new team called the Huon Hornets. The Hornets had a reasonable season winning 3 of their 7 matches.

Franklin has now entered BBB26 as a stand-alone side. Franklin had a great season in the STBA Pennant season 25/26 winning the Div 1 Grand Final and being promoted to this years Premier Division. This will be a very interesting test for the Lions.

Welcome Franklin Lions to BBB26 and Good luck.
