There’s something special about seeing our junior families up at Centenary Park Football Complex — and trust us, our senior players feel it too.

The kids absolutely love it… high fiving the players as they come out of the race, walking the team onto the pitch, then having a kick at half time like future stars in the making. This isn’t “for the camera” this is something the team loves doing at every home game.

We love seeing parents catching up on the sidelines, kids cheering from behind the goals, and the occasional cheeky bit of banter aimed at the opposition. That’s what community football is all about.

At some point this season, make sure you get up and support our seniors. Whether you’re a seasoned football fan or a first-time Mini Strikers parent, it’s a fantastic family-friendly afternoon, a great atmosphere, and some quality football on display. It was so great to see our senior players down at Ballam Saturday morning and then seeing our Junior families up at Centenary in the afternoon. 💙💛⚽️

The next home match is May 9th. Our Mini Strikers program will be running out of Centenary Park Football Complex, and rumour has it there may also be a little celebration for the amazing mums of our football stars. So a great opportunity to get up with the family for the afternoon. 🌸⚽

What a stunning morning and a brilliant start to Season 2026! ☀️⚽💙💛

Ballam Park was absolutely buzzing this morning, with 8 matches underway plus our Mini Strikers program lighting up the pitches with smiles, energy and excitement.

A huge thank you to everyone who stepped up to fill volunteer roles today. From game leaders, canteen helpers, setup crews, coaches, team managers and all the little jobs in between — your support is what keeps this club moving and thriving.

Massive shout out to our players - win or lose we love the effort you all put in today. We just hope you had a heap of fun regardless of the results.

Also well done to our Junior Committee members who took to the fields to game lead and even game day coach! Legends! We hope you had fun too. Your commitment to your club is amazing. You guys really lift our community.

It was also fantastic to see committee members and players from our senior club Peninsula Strikers down at Ballam this morning, adding to the atmosphere and handing out member cards. That connection between juniors and seniors is what being one club is all about.

At Peninsula Strikers JFC we acknowledge the legacy of those who have fought for our freedom. We thank them. We honour them.

"They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them"

Lest we forget.
