⚫🟡What is the Super Shot?🟡⚫
We will be introducing the super shot into the LVNA teenage competition! But what is a super shot we hear you ask?
Those players in the Goal Attack and Goal Shooter positions will have the opportunity to score two points by shooting from a 1.9 metre designated zone within the goal circle. If they score from closer in, they’ll still get one point, providing an exciting blend of the traditional game with the new. Some of you may be familiar with the super shot from the Suncorp Super Netball, this will be similar, however the super shot zone will be active for the entire match, every week!
The super shot rewards confidence, composure and ex*****on under pressure.
We can’t wait to watch the excitement unfold for our teens!

Over the last two weeks, we have had multiple umpires travel down from Warwick Netball for coaching and testing.

We are incredibly proud to have been a part of this development and to support Warwick’s umpire pathway, with six new C-Badge umpires coming through the region! 👏🏐

A big thank you to Lou from Warwick and Kyle for organising everything and making this opportunity possible.

We would also like to thank our amazing testers — Jhikara, Shianne, Kyle, Nikki, Tanayha, Olivia, Anna and Lisa — for giving up their time, sharing their knowledge and supporting the umpires throughout the coaching and testing process.

It’s fantastic to see the growth, commitment and development of our umpiring community. Congratulations to everyone involved! 💛🖤

Huge congratulations to LVNA Umpires Tahlia Barnes, Lisa Harm and Olivia Harm on their GBNL Grand Final appointments! 👏🏼

These three have absolutely smashed it this year and deserve all the recognition. A massive year of umpiring and plenty of big achievements along the way.

Special shoutout to Tahlia for getting the Open Division 1 Grand Final, as well as making her Sapphire debut a couple weeks ago.

And a big one for Lisa and Olivia too, both making their Emerald debuts this year!

Pretty bloody awesome to see all three of you getting rewarded for the work you’ve put in. We’re stoked to be able to play a small part in it and couldn’t be prouder 💛🖤

🏐📣 THIS WEEK’S DRAW + A LITTLE PLOVER PSA! 🐦

The draw for this week is attached — please take note that all games will be played on COURTS 5 & 6 this week. 🏐

We also have some visitors nesting at Cahill Park! 🐦🥚

There are currently plovers nesting in the grass between Courts 2 and 4. Plovers are a protected species and, as you might know, they can be very protective of their eggs!

For the next few weeks, please avoid walking through or congregating in the grass between Courts 2 and 4 and give our feathered neighbours plenty of space.

We’ll keep everyone updated once the little family has moved on. 💛
