RECOVERY IS KEY! πŸ”‘

Recovery is just as important as doing all the hard work day in day out. Our bodies need time to recover, adapt and become stronger.

Granted I am one who wants to workout every day to get those gains πŸ’ͺ however knowing the importance of rest has helped me and may help you get the best results πŸ‘

For example: Cold water therapy is one of the 3 pillars of the Wim Hof Method and has been linked to various health benefits such as:
- Speeds up metabolism
- Reduced inflammation
- Reduced swelling
- Reduced soreness in muscles
- Boosts your immune system

FYI it is recommended via Wim Hof Method to do ice baths or cold showers but it was bloody cold in that water πŸ₯Ά

Bulking update: up a cheeky 1.5kg since the starting. Slow and steady wins the race. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

1st group training session for the 8week challenge = well deserved protein shake πŸ’ͺ

Cheers to all the trainers and participants .health.club.geelong for a great workout.

Today was the start of huge changes and the first step to push myself and others to the new level.

Well done for everyone participating in the challenge, I can’t wait to start as a Personal Trainer on the 5th of April and help push you all to your goals!

P.S if anyone also struggles with dairy based protein powder try blessed protein. Goes down an absolute treat!

πŸ’ͺ PULL DAY πŸ’ͺ

Finally good to get back to pulling some decent weight off the floor with the preferred Sumo Deadlift (mind the fading form).

Whats the difference between Sumo and Conventional deadlifts?

The sumo deadlift relies on recruiting the hips, glutes, and legs to initiate the first portion of the pull, while the conventional has a more equal balance between the lower back and hamstrings. Each pull hits similar muscles throughout their full ranges of motion.

- 15 burpees

- 6 burpees

Do the whole workout as quick as you can, limit the amount of rest if possible.
