SUNDAY NIGHT ROUTINE

Back in action.
My goal for September was to get back into the habit of planning and preparing at least some meals at the beginning of the week. Things are going well so far and I'm feeling much better for it.

Goals aren't always about gym gains, or weight loss. Sometimes it's as simple as finding a routine that makes your life easier.

SQUAT IT LIKE IT'S HOT

Squat jumps are heaps of fun and a great workout, if done safely.

🔅Don't jump if you have bad knees
🔅Feet shoulder width apart
🔅Toes slightly turned out
🔅Push hips back as you bend your knees
🔅Knees tracking over toes
🔅Hands in front at the squat and behind at the jump
🔅Land into the quat with bent knees

PUSH-UPS

A staple in your upper body workout, but it's more than chest and arms!
Here are my top tips:

🔅 Regress so you can focus on depth and form (four-point, knees, toes to knees, toes).

🔅 Start and finish each rep in your strong plank position (or modification).

🔅 Grip the floor tightly with your fingers spread out.

🔅 "Screw" your hands into the floor so your Elbows point back, creating an arrow shape. This is a stronger position for your shoulders.

🔅 Remember to engage the full body by squeezing glutes, Quads and abs as you lower and lift.

🔅 Hips and shoulders move at the same time, maintaining your Plank.

🔅 Keep your head and neck aligned with your spine, try not to drop your head at the bottom.
