FINALS ARE HERE BOYS!!!!

There may only be 4 teams in the league which means we were always going to make finals but that doesn't mean we haven't earned our place!
Let's give em hell boys and claim our spot in the grand final with a huge win over the Western Lions!

Well boys it's been a couple of weeks but this Sunday the 19th we're facing The Western Lions at 11am.
I hope everyone is well rested and raring to go!

This week's game is against G-Town No Run at 11am at Higginbotham Oval.

These guys might have beaten us last time we played them but this time we're going to show them they got lucky!

Round 2 Match Report

Game 1

Defending Champions Western Lions were up against the underdogs G-Town No Run

Western Lions were sent in to bat on a gloomy day. G-Town bowlers made best use of the conditions by sending both the openers back in the dug-out cheaply. The Captain Sudarshan and Ali had different ideas who steadied the rocky ship with a splendid 50 run partnership before being dismissed by the leggie Jake. Ali retired on 50. Batters Rubal not out at 48 and some useful cameos by Venkata, Jordan and Abhilash saw a very defendable score of 163 posted by Lions. G-Town exploded with Jake scoring sixes and fours to score a quick fire 50. A good support was provided by Leon on the other side. Sahil scored a few sixes to cover up but the asking run rate was too much in the end and G-Town No Run ended with 146 short by 18

Game 2

xGxHxSxTx CC vs Spartan Tigers

xGxHxSxTx CC lost the toss and were sent in to bat. The openers Umar and Pratik kept scoring 6s and 4s to quickly bring up their individual 50s and retire smiling. Jahanzaib scored a 50 with 4 sixes and 4 fours to propel the innings. Spartans did comeback with 3 quick wickets but it was a little too late as xGxHxSxTx CC had posted a mammoth 190 in 20 overs. In response Spartans lost the first wicket in 3rd over. Looking to stabilise the innings but the score was simple too much. Some good scoring by Kriish, Naveen and some late hitting by Hanu saw Spartans cross 100 but then it happened. Cook the keeper was called to bowl and took a hat-trick finishing at a dream figures of 0.3 Overs 2 Runs conceded 3 Wickets to end the innings

Team selection this week.

Being an 8 a side game and having around 14 players on the list is going to make selection every week a little hard but I promise everyone will get as many games as possible.
It also means that hopefully we'll never be short players.

Would really love to see everyone get down to support the team!
