What a great turn out this morning to finally kick off our 2026 Auskick season. It was so awesome to see so many smiles out there.

Happy Mother’s Day again to our Dragon community, we hope you all managed a little time to put your feet up.

Just a few reminders from today:

For anyone interested we have the chance to play at halftime on Saturday 16th May (this week) at our Seniors game for the annual Zoe Kennedy fundraiser round (more info to come about the fundraiser)

2.30pm meet at the old scoreboard (Look for coach Jason).

Depending on numbers, mini matches will be set up and then they get to line up for a guard of honor as the Senior players run back on to the ground.

For those who come early they have the chance to run out with the team and one lucky Auskicker gets to toss the coin.

Just to get an idea of numbers, can you comment yes on this post or reply to the email that will hit your inboxes shortly.

Our regular Sunday session will be running as usual.

Have a great week.

Not quite the start we were hoping for to kick off our 2026 Auskick season.

While we’d usually go ahead in the rain, the multiple lightning strikes meant we had to put safety first. With our duty of care to all families, it resulted in the session being cancelled.

Thank you for your understanding, we know there would have been some disappointed Auskickers.

Let’s reset and take two… see you all next week!

Unfortunately we have to cancel the first week of Auskick due to the lightning for safety reasons. Hope to see you all next week.

2 weeks to go until the 2026 Auskick season starts!

The season starts on Sunday 3rd May and runs until Sunday 2nd August, with a week break on July 5th (the middle week of the Term 2 school holidays).

Sessions run 9:30–10:30am on the back oval at Hamlyn Park.

The children are divided into their age groups (e.g. Kinder, Prep, Grade 1, etc.) and rotate through a number of skill-based stations, finishing with a short footy game.

Our coaches are all parent volunteers, and we are always happy to welcome more helpers.

Don’t hesitate to message or email if you have any further questions.
Hope to see you at the Dragon Den! πŸ‰

Auskick 2025 done and dusted πŸ‰
An enormous thank you to each and every one of our awesome Auskickers who showed up every week with enthusiasm, had fun and improved your footy skills πŸ‘πŸΌ
A thank you to all the family members for bringing your kids along each Sunday morning, cheering them on and helping out with activities and pack ups.
And the biggest thank you to our incredibly dedicated volunteer coaches. This program could not be possible without you all and we’re grateful to have you all at the Dragon Den.
All the best to our Auskickers who go on to play junior footy next year and we hope to see lots of Auskickers back next year πŸ‰
Cheers,
Brea and Jay
