Just two days remain before I press pause on the online store for a little while.

As I prepare for the next chapter of my creative practice, I’ve been thinking about the pieces that have brought me so much joy to create. This is one of them... the You Yangs and Swans Noren. I made it for a textile exhibition in Colac, CrossXpollination in 2019. The work represented my connection to the Western District of Victoria. I’m currently working on another show at Rut Gallery, Geelong in September, and can’t wait to show you what I produce.

Today is my last day in our beautiful studio, shop and rug showroom at the wonderful Boom Creative Spaces in Newtown, Geelong.

Looking back, this has been the seventh creative space I’ve called home over the past 32 years (not counting the little home studios I’ve set up along the way—including one when my daughter was born and I wanted to create close to home).

Every space has shaped my work in different ways, and this one has been especially special. I’ve loved being part of the incredible creative community at Boom, surrounded by so many talented artists and makers.

Today isn’t about an ending—it’s about celebrating the close of one creative chapter and the beginning of another.

My focus is now shifting towards larger public art projects inspired by biophilic design, alongside one-off and limited-edition artworks. While the Newtown showroom is closing, my rug collections will continue to be available online. I’ve recently added an augmented reality feature to my website, making it easy to visualise a rug in your own home before you buy—something I’m excited to continue developing as my practice evolves.

I’ll also be working from a smaller studio, open by appointment for commissions and future projects.

A heartfelt thank you to Ren and Kate from Boom Gallery for creating such a beautiful space where artists, designers and makers can connect, create and thrive. It’s been a privilege to be part of this wonderful community.

Just letting you know we only have one large Banksia Rug left in stock and two small. The dimensions are 2 x 2.9m and 1.6 x 2.3m, 100% wool. This one has been the favourite from our Coastal Ecology collection in 2024.
