Our swimmers didn’t slow down on the final day of competition.
Another 7 PBs in the morning, a medal secured in a timed final, and a new National Qualifier; go Seb! 💪🏽
It’s was a tough day to make finals with two swimmers relegated under the visitor rule, but we still had three swimmers progress to the evening session.

Our first official meet saw some good results only a few weeks back into training after the Christmas/New Years break.
Overall, EDA was represented in 19 finals, we finished 13th overall and we walked away with the following medals:

1x Silver 🥈
3x Bronze 🥉

It’s all fun and games until someone he gets hypothermia! 🥶
It was great to see 10 of our swimmers brave the chilly morning conditions and compete in their first open water event. Even better to see EDA come away with 4x Medals.

Congratulations to Daniele and Ella, our EDA Swimmers of the Meet at the Victorian Age Championships.

Daniele often concedes height and size to many of the boys in his age group, yet he consistently rises to the challenge and more than holds his own. He finished the meet with an outstanding 100% PB rate, an incredible achievement.

Ella, our Club Captain, continues to lead by example both in and out of the pool. After qualifying for the State Championships at the very last meet before cut off last year, she has now gone on to achieve an outstanding three State medals, a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Well done to both swimmers on a fantastic meet!
