Wow — we’ve had such an incredible response to our free Drive-In Movie Night!

Because of the level of interest, the event is now ticketed so we can safely manage numbers and the limited space available. It is still completely free, but you will now need to show your ticket at the gate for entry 😊

We also have a limited number of spaces available in a seated area at the front, so if you’d prefer to bring a chair or picnic rug and settle in under the stars, that option is available too!

🚜 Geelong Showgrounds Museum is OPEN! 🏛️❄️

In response to public demand, the Geelong Showgrounds Museum will be opening 10am–2pm on the first Sunday of every month (initially Feb–Jun 2026) — and yes, we’ll also be open during the Classic Truck and Geelong Classic Truck & Machinery Show! 🙌

Step inside and explore fascinating pieces of our region’s agricultural and pastoral history — from horse-drawn transport and farming implements, to Geelong Royal Show memorabilia, local stories, and the incredible life of James Harrison, the engineer behind the world’s first refrigeration invention (1854). Where would we be without refrigeration?!
