I’ve been slow to post my opinion pieces 😬
Did you know it was World Menopause Day on 18 October?
In an opinion piece in the Geelong Advertiser a few weeks ago I shard the impact that menopause has on women as they hit their peak in career development.
The Federal Government also recently released their report from the Senate inquiry into to menopause with significant recommendations for consideration.

“Let us seize this moment to shape a future where technology serves humanity and our collective potential is fully realised. Because, I believe, our very human uniqueness is our greatest asset.”
My recent op ed in the Geelong Advertiser (Friday 5 July) talks about the potential risks and challenges we face with the growth and impact of artificial intelligence. How we acknowledge and nurture what makes us humans.
This opinion piece is an excerpt from a speech delivered in June at an Australian Institute of Company Directors briefing on Innovation and AI. The full speech is available here: https://www.tandemvox.com.au/media/aicd-speech-innovation-and-ai

Last Tuesday I chose to write in the Geelong Advertiser about two of my friends - great Geelong people who have supported and inspired me for some time. But this piece was about their tireless commitment to not for profit, community palliative care facility Anam Cara House Geelong and the Geelong Cats
For their services, Diana Taylor AM was awarded with a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) on Australia Day and Bob Gartland OAM was awarded with a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) on the King's Birthday.
Geelong is certainly a unique city. While it has its challenges, people Bob and Diana continue to give their time and energy to building a positive future.
NB: the Anam Cara Annual Giving Day was a huge success with the community raising over $880,000 on Tuesday. Many thanks to all who donated!

Our Managing Director’s latest opinion piece was published in the Geelong Advertiser last Friday.
It talks about a form of ‘networked leadership.’
“But if we can evolve, we can move through the fears that limit us and start tapping into the natural skills we have. This is where new leadership can grow.
“For a truly collaborative, networked leadership model to work, the ego-system dies and the ecosystem lives and thrives. The networked leader is able to hold and host conversations that have impact where all views are equal and all voices are heard.”
Interested to hear your thoughts.

Jennifer’s op ed from the 25 April talks about how we can create a sustainable future and highlights the Witchcliffe Ecovillage in WA.
With increases to the cost of living - why not consider a more sustainable development approach?
