AVOID INJURIES /// WHY A BIKE FIT?
Most riders end up injured due to adapting to a bike that isn’t fitted to them correctly.
Whether it’s the wrong saddle, a stem that’s too long, or cleats set up incorrectly the repetitive nature of cycling normally catches up leading to injury.
FIT SOLUTIONS.. OUTSIDE THE BOX.
Changing crank length can be the best thing to ever happen for some riders. In this example we had a client post knee replacement that was left with limited flexion in the knee. The end result was not being able to do the thing he loves, ride his bike.
Having cranks manufactured from has been the best thing we could have done. We now have the same set up on 2 bikes and our clients back to riding and loving cycling again.

CRANK LENGTH CHANGES..
Yep shorter is often better, but….. not always. Whether you are chasing performance or have an injury your dealing with shorter cranks can be very beneficial.
Once we assess your body we can help you make a more informed decision around which crank length might work best for you.
We can even test the new crank Le get in the studio using our Retül sizing bike. It’s a very cool tool.
⚡️HINGE TO USE YOUR GLUTES! ⚡️
Back pain is often related to riders not using the their glute muscles (your large muscles, behind you!).
It’s common to see riders simply flexing or bending there spine putting pressure on discs in an attempt to reach handlebars that can feel too far away.
This normally leads to a sore lower back and heavy legs (quads) while also telling us they don’t even feel their glute muscles working on the bike.
Posture on the bike is super important if you want to be comfortable and efficient while pedalling. We use a simple cue (sticker) reminder on stems to remind a rider that that long reach feeling is likely due to bad posture not a stem that’s too long. Over time we can create a new habit and reduce the back pain and start using the glutes to generate power.
Back pain comes from a number of issues while cycling. This is a common one.

A NEUTRAL POSITION. IT IS THE KEY!
You always want a bike position that reflects your body and your riding style.
Here is a great example of this exact thing. Our rider is comfortably shifting between different hand positions on the drop and hoods.
We must hear “I don’t use the drops much” at least 5 times a week. This is mostly due to an ill-fitting bicycle. Your body is trying to adapt to a position that it doesn’t want to be in. So ultimately you get overuse injuries or pressure resulting in numbness and discomfort at the handlebars or the saddle or even both.
Stop putting up with pain while cycling is NOT normal and you should NOT get used to it. 💯
