Happy Friday, Swans!

We’re excited to kick off a series of announcements about our Women’s Program with the return of Amy Seddon for season 2026/27.

In her first season at South Barwon, Amy made an immediate impact, showcasing her quality as one of the competition’s premier all-rounders. She amassed 451 runs at an average of 45.1 and claimed 18 wickets at 12.89.

Amy’s outstanding season was recognised with the A Grade Player of the Year award, and we are thrilled to have her back in the green and gold next summer.

Please join us in giving Amy a warm South Barwon welcome as she returns for another season with the Swans.

Stay tuned to our socials over the coming weeks, with plenty more exciting recruitment and program announcements still to come.

Amazing news from Rawalpindi, with Ollie Peake set to make his Australian debut.

Less than six years ago, in November 2020, Ollie made his First XI debut for South Barwon. Since then, his talent, work ethic and humility have continued to make everyone at our club incredibly proud.

Tonight, Ollie becomes South Barwon’s first ever Australian white-ball representative, and just our second ever nationally selected player.

Go well, Ollie. We are all right behind you. 💚💛

An exciting moment in SBCC history, with former junior Ollie Peake becoming the first player in our history selected into an ODI squad.

We will be keeping a close eye on every team sheet, as Ollie tours Pakistan in late May & Early June. 💚💛

Off-Season News

It is our great pleasure to announce the return of past player and club favourite, Nick Platt, who will join South Barwon Cricket Club as our Spin Bowling Coach for Season 2026/27.

A wonderfully skilled left-arm spinner, “Platty” will share his expertise with our strong group of spin bowlers across the club. During his time in the green and gold, Nick claimed multiple bowling average awards and built an outstanding reputation for his craft. He also brings a tremendous depth of knowledge to the role, having completed high-level study into the mechanics of spin bowling.

While Nick has been no stranger to Reynolds Oval in recent times, it is fantastic to have him back at SBCC in an official capacity.

Please join us in welcoming Nick and his partner, Tegan, back to the mighty green and gold.

Cheer, Cheer!

It’s more good news at Reynolds Oval this week, as we welcome Sam Coutts to South Barwon Cricket Club for Season 2026/27.

An outstanding bowler in the GCA competition, Sam has taken 56 wickets at an average of 18 over the past two seasons. Alongside his impressive local performances, Sam has also represented the GCA at Country Week across the past four seasons.

We cannot wait for Sam to join our fast bowling crop at SBCC, with more news on that front to come. Please join us in welcoming Sam and his partner, Sophie, to the mighty green and gold.

Cheer Cheer! 💚💛

Off Season News

We are absolutely ecstatic to announce that back to back Barry McFarlane medalist, Nikhil Deep Pottabathini, will be a Swan for season 2026/27.

A genuine star, Nikhil has been a force in his two years of GCA 2 cricket. Last season at Bell Park, Nikhil amassed 891 runs at an average of 74.25, whilst also taking 23 wickets at just over 18.

To go along with a tremendous GCA season, Nikhil also starred at Country Week during the summer, earning the best player award in the competition winning side.

We are so excited to have not only a fantastic cricketer, but also person joining us at Reynolds Oval this upcoming season. Please help us in welcoming Nikhil to our club.

Go Swans!
