Congratulations to Sandra on making it through to the Australian Indoor Championships at Tweed Heads!

Sandra won through the Victorian Qualifiers, getting over the line in a hard fought final against Sue Collins (Ocean Grove). Good Luck up in Queensland Sandra, Thunder Army is right behind you! 🌩⚡️🌩

🏆 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 – 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲

Ocean Grove Bowling Club proudly hosted the Bowls Victoria - Victorian Indoor Championships – Ladies Qualifiers, welcoming a strong field of players from across the state, all competing for the opportunity to progress to the next stage of the championship.

The finals were held on Sunday 21st June. Representing Ocean-Grove Bowls, Sue Collins put in a great performance, going down in a close encounter to Sandra Tillson (City of Geelong Bowls Club) 12–8, 3–10, 4-5.

It was a fantastic standard of bowls throughout the weekend, with players showcasing skill, composure, and sportsmanship on the indoor surface.

Congratulations to all competitors on a great event, and best of luck to Sandra and those progressing through to the next stage of the championships.

⚡GRAND FINAL WEEKEND⚡

A massive 2 days of Bowls ahead for our Division 1, 3 and 10 sides, as they compete in the GBR Weekend Pennant Grand Finals!

Division 1 will face off against Ocean Grove 2 at Belmont on Sunday, to determine who will be in the promise land of Premier League next season. They will look to continue a great run of form after a convincing display against St Leonards last week.

Division 3 has a Semi Final rematch against Ocean Grove 4 at Eastern Park on Saturday. The 2 teams to beat all year will battle it out for a spot in Division 2. They will be looking to cap off a stellar season after finishing on top of the ladder.

Division 10 did it the long way, after defeating Torquay last week in a gritty contest they will face Geelong RSL 3 at Ocean Grove. Packed with years of Finals experience, our Division 10 team will put up a massive contest to bring us home a flag!

Good Luck to all our sides this Weekend, our supporters will be out in force cheering you all on.
