The Turtles fought hard tonight but couldn't keep up with the offense of Noodle Box. The box score was 20 - 80. We struggled, but we will get there.
With the 2014 winter season right around the corner, the Belmont Heat Basketball Club have changed our name to the Struggling Turtles. The name reflects our abilities and situation in basketball.
We are struggling, we are slow hence the name Struggling Turtles. But no matter, our burning desire to compete is still there.

The Heat gained a victory in a hard fought battle against The Beers 33 - 32 on Wednesday night. This game marks our rookie, Daniel Ware's last game as a member of the Heat. As an honour to his service, his jersey (20) will be retired. We We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Peter McCarthy will not return until the 5th of December, after failing to complete a homework task
The Heat decimated Jack and the Lamonds 38-26 off the back of a double double by Justin Ware, 5 dimes by Saputro and 8 points each from Flaherty and Daniel Ware. The Heat will look to win again next week with the return of Power Forward Peter McCarthy and prized Guard Levi Wanyonyi.
The Heat have gone down 59-36 at the hands of Triple Threat. Justin Ware and Peter McCarthy equal top scored with 14 points and double doubles. Riley Flaherty chipped in with 6 points whilst Satrio Saputro had 4 assists but also 4 turnovers as he battled illness. The Heat will be bolstered by the return of Guard Levi Wanyonyi next week as they face Shaq Fu.
The Heat were crucified by turnovers in their tight 33-24 loss to Geetroit Pi**ed Sons. Rookie Guard Jordan Fletcher-Blain had a solid debut, starting on the floor Fletcher-Blain had 7 rebounds and 5 assists but shot 0% from the field. Peter McCarthy had 9 points, just shy of a double double and Riley Flaherty provided support with 6 points. Muhammad Jumat continues to defy normal human ability as he made 2 of 4 from downtown. Jumat has made 13 three pointers for the season.
Rookie Point Guard Jordan Fletcher-Blain will make his debut on Wednesday night to replace the ill Satrio Saputro. Fletcher-Blain is an unproven player for the Heat but at his press conference today said "I'm just pleased for the opportunity to show what I can do for the team, I'd love to show a little bit of what I can provide on the floor. Opportunities have been scarce and I want to make the most of this game. Morrissy better watch his back because I'm coming for his spot."
