What a week for the Bears!

A huge congratulations to Milla McCormack and Ellie Schofield on earning selection for the 2026 Under-12 Country Jamboree, to be held in Echuca from 19–22 September.

This is a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved reward for the hard work, dedication and commitment both girls have shown throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud to see two more Bears representing our club on the Victorian stage. We can't wait to watch you both take on this amazing opportunity!

We're excited to announce that Try Boys Basketball Club has been selected for the Grill'd Local Matters program throughout August!

A huge congratulations to our very own Jade Chow ( #5) on her selection in the Victoria Select Team to compete at the 2026 WKBL Futures League Tournament in Seoul, South Korea!

This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to Jade's hard work, dedication and commitment to continually improving her game. Representing Victoria on the international stage is an incredible honour, and we couldn't be prouder to see one of our own wearing the Big V.

We wish Jade and the Victoria Select Team all the very best as they take on some of Asia's best young talent. Enjoy every moment of this amazing experience—we'll be cheering you on from home!

The countdown to the new season is on! Please save these important dates and register early.

📅 3 August – Summer Season Registration & Try Out/ Intent to play Registrations OPEN
📅 21 August – Try Out / Intent To Play Registrations CLOSE
📅 23 August – Try Out Day (Age Group Times TBC)
📅 4 September – Summer Season Registration CLOSES (All Junior & Senior Players)
📅 10 & 11 September – Team Releases
📅 12 September – Presentation Day – Celebrate our Winter Season (Time TBC)

This schedule of dates is designed to have teams selected and organised before the school holidays start, allowing our dedicated volunteers to enjoy a well-earned break before returning for the new season.

📢 Important: Summer Season Registration applies to all Junior and Senior players. Players required to attend try outs must also complete the Intent to Play & Try Out Registration before 21 August.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we're looking for a coach to step in and lead our U16 Boys Div 4 Team team for the remainder of the Winter Season.

What a fantastic morning we had at our first Girls Holiday Hoops & Challenge Day!
It was wonderful to welcome so many girls to Try Boys Stadium for a morning full of basketball, teamwork, laughter and friendship.

A big thank you to our coaches and volunteers for making the day such a success.

We'd also like to sincerely thank Woolworths Newcomb and ’d South Geelong for your generous support and contribution to the day. We are incredibly grateful.
