💙💛 Preserving a little piece of GASC history 💛💙

🙌🏻 We recently worked with Geraldton Trophy Centre and Geraldton Aquarena to replace this plaque commemorating the establishment of ‘The Gibson Room’, which was the name given to the GASC club rooms back in 1973 ⏳.

Although GASC does not currently have club rooms, this plaque is mounted on the wall of our home pool, Geraldton Aquarena, to ensure this important part of the Club’s history is preserved for years to come.

While the Club continues to grow and move forward, it’s wonderful to be able to maintain these reminders of the people and moments that have helped shape GASC over the years 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

What’s more fun than playing naughts and crosses during training? Each swimmer had to swim 50m before they could have a turn, 2 swimmers per lane. I think some new PB’s would have been set if it had been timed! 😂

As part of our 2026 Kalgoorlie Crusher 125th Anniversary Meet, we're inviting all little swimmers with a Junior Dolphin Membership (ages 8 & under) to jump in and be part of the fun with Splash & Dash! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

This is the perfect opportunity for young swimmers to experience the excitement of a real swimming meet in a fun, supportive, and family-friendly environment. With 25m events in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly, it's all about having a go, building confidence, and enjoying the thrill of racing.

✨ Every Splash & Dash participant will receive a prize pack!

But the fun doesn't stop there! Our young swimmers can soak up the incredible atmosphere of the Kalgoorlie Crusher Meet, cheering on some of the states fastest and most experienced swimmers as they compete throughout the day.

Whether your child is new to racing or already loves the water, this is an event they won't want to miss!
