• 1st XI – MRSP Oval | 9 AM

🏏 Junior Pre-Season Training | Gardiner Reserve
• U11 Mixed – 9:00–10:00 AM

📣 SEASON LAUNCH & MENTAL HEALTH ROUND

The Gisborne Cricket Club is proud to launch the 2026/27 season with our inaugural Mental Health Round across 10–11 October.

This special weekend will bring together cricket, community, connection and fundraising, as we raise awareness and support for the Danny Frawley Centre.

The highlight of the weekend will be our Season Launch on Saturday night, featuring special guest Tom Boyd, former AFL Premiership player, who will share his experience around mental health and professional sport.

Supported by one of our long-term club sponsors, Macedon Ranges Glass, this promises to be a fantastic night and a great way to kick off the new season.

Throughout the weekend, our Men’s McIntyre and Women’s teams will wear our specially designed Stealth Playing Kit — a black and grey strip created to reflect the message behind the round: mental health can often be hidden in the dark, but through conversation, connection and support, we can help bring it into the light.

At the Dragons, we believe nobody should face mental health challenges alone.
Together, we are better. Stronger Together.

🐉Dragons! The weather is looking great this weekend, so we’ve added an extra Junior Training Session at Gardiner Reserve this Saturday, 19 September, for players who are available to attend!

Training Times

🏏 U11s: 9:00–10:00 AM
🏏 Junior Girls – U13s, U15s & U18s: 10:00–11:00 AM
🏏 U13 Boys: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

U15 & U17 Boys are encouraged to get involved in this weekend’s practice matches. Please respond to the poll pinned in the club's community chat to confirm your availability for selection.

😁🐉We're so excited for our upcoming season! It all starts in just a couple of weeks! Our McIntyre teams will be hitting the field on Saturday, October 3rd, and we’re hopeful our A Grade Women will join in on Sunday, October 4th (stay tuned for the women's fixture confirmation!). Plus, the rest of our senior teams will kick off on October 9th.

To help us finalise our team nominations and start putting squads together, if you’re planning to play senior cricket this season, please register by Friday 18 September.
