Today we celebrate all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers and father figures who are such an important part of our Central family.

From the early morning kick-offs and long drives, to helping at training, volunteering around the club, cheering from the sidelines and simply being there through the wins and losses — thank you.

Junior football is about so much more than what happens on the field. The time, encouragement and support you give helps shape not only better players, but great young people.

To all the fathers and father figures throughout Central Football Club, we hope you enjoy your day with your families.

👏⚽ Central Ravens seal the win to book a seat into the Grand Final!! 👏

What a fantastic team effort from the Ravens last night! They showed great determination, teamwork and commitment from the first whistle right through to the end.

Junior was the star of the scoreboard, finishing off some great team play. The goals were a real reflection of the boys working together, with players creating opportunities and setting up assists for each other.

The defensive line was unbreakable, working hard together, communicating and making it difficult for the opposition to get through.

And a special mention to Bax in goals, who was outstanding! His saves and composure between the posts helped keep the team in the game when the pressure was on. He now has 8 clean sheets for the season!!

Most importantly, the boys played as a team and never gave up, working hard until the final whistle.

What a performance, something to be proud of 👏

U12–14 PHOENIX GIRLS — GRAND FINAL BOUND! 🖤🩷

What a finish!

Right from kick-off, the intensity was immense. Central controlled the majority of possession throughout the first half, applying constant pressure and giving Gladstone United very little room to settle into the game.

Despite opportunities at both ends, neither side could find the breakthrough and the teams went into half-time locked at 0–0.

The second half continued in the same fashion. Both teams created chances, both defended desperately, and with the clock running down it looked like we were heading beyond regulation time.

Then, in the absolute final minute, the breakthrough finally came!
Central fired a shot towards goal, taking a deflection off a United defender before slowly rolling towards the line. The United goalkeeper scrambled desperately to recover, but couldn't quite get there...

GOAL CENTRAL! 1–0!

Seconds later, it was all over.

An incredible finish to an incredibly hard-fought preliminary final, and our U12–14 Phoenix Girls are heading to the GRAND FINAL next weekend!

What a busy weekend it’s going to be for our club with 6 FQPL Teams playing in the finals series. Our FQPL Men are heading to Rockhampton in the afternoon to join our 3 Junior FQPL sides, while our FQPL Women and FQPL u23s play at Home.

Please drive up or to the fields to support our teams and help get them over the line this weekend!

Two of our Central junior teams take to the field tonight with a spot in the Grand Final on the line!

Our U12/13 Div 2 Ravens kick things off at 6:00pm on Field 2A against BITS.

They’ll be followed by our U12–14 Phoenix Girls, who take on Gladstone United at 7:30pm also on field 2a.

Two teams. One club. One step away from the Grand Final.

We wish both teams, their coaches and families the very best tonight. Play hard, play for each other and enjoy the occasion.

This is a pretty special achievement for our club.

From U12/13 FQPL through to our FQPL Men and Women, every Central team competing in the FQPL structure will play finals football this season.

Six teams. Six finals campaigns. One club.

And while finals are something worth celebrating, what we're most proud of is how we've got there.

At Central, we've put enormous effort into building a genuine pathway from junior football into our senior ranks. Developing players takes time. Building coaches takes time. Creating the right culture takes time.

There are plenty of ways to measure the strength of a football club. We reckon one of the best is to look at the whole pathway, not just the team sitting at the top of it.

When your juniors are succeeding, your senior teams are succeeding, and young Central players can genuinely see where their football can take them, that's something worth celebrating.

Success at senior level is great. Success from U12s right through to seniors tells a much bigger story.

To be the only club in Central Queensland with ALL of its FQPL teams reaching finals is a fantastic reflection of the work happening right across our club.

From our junior coaches laying the foundations, to our senior coaches continuing that development, our volunteers working behind the scenes, our families supporting the journey and, most importantly, our players putting in the work, this belongs to all of Central.

We're proud of where we're heading.

We're even prouder of how we're getting there.
