ππ Why a Sand Dollar? ππ
When we were choosing a symbol for Seaside Swim School, we wanted something that reflected more than just swimming lessons.
The sand dollar felt perfect.
To us, it represents growth, resilience and the unique journey every child takes in the water. No two sand dollars are exactly the same, just like no two swimmers are the same.
Some children jump straight in with confidence. Some need a little more time. Some are learning to float. Some are chasing squad goals.
Wherever they are on their journey, every step matters.
At Seaside Swim School, our focus has never been just teaching children how to swim. It's about helping them build confidence, learn lifesaving skills, have fun, and feel proud of what they achieve along the way.
Everything we do comes back to our five core values: π Safety π Confidence π Skill π Fun π Growth
These values guide our lessons, our team, and the way we support families every day.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your child's swimming journey. Watching their confidence grow from those first nervous splashes to strong, capable swimming is why we love what we do. π©΅
β¨ Every child is unique. β¨ Every journey matters. β¨ Every splash counts.

πββοΈ Play On Vouchers & Swimming Programs β Important ClarificationπββοΈ
Weβve received a number of questions about using Play On! Sports Vouchers for swimming lessons and squad programs, so weβd like to share the official Queensland Government information.
Under the Play On eligible activities, the guideline for swimming states:
βSwimming β Note: learn to swim lessons are ineligible.β
π Official Play On Provider Terms:
https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/playon/providers/terms
Play On vouchers are designed for organised sport delivered by registered clubs, not commercial or privatly run learn-to-swim providers.
Seaside Swim School operates as a dedicated learn-to-swim provider and is not structured or registered as an affiliated swimming club. Because of this, we unfortunately are not eligible to accept Play On vouchers for any of our programs including Squad Development.
Registered swimming clubs may be eligible to accept Play On vouchers because they are classified as sporting organisations and meet specific club and affiliation requirements. This is why families may see different rules at different venues.
For families with younger children, the Queensland Government offers the SwimStart voucher, which is specifically designed for learn-to-swim lessons. We are able to accept SWIMstart vouchers π₯°
π SwimStart Information:
https://www.sport.qld.gov.au/news/latest/2024/swimstart-is-back-to-make-a-splash-for-queenslanders
We hope this provides clarity. We are committed to following Queensland Government program guidelines to ensure we remain compliant and continue providing safe, high-quality swimming lessons for our community π

Water is beautiful... but it always deserves respect. π
This photo captures such a special childhood moments; exploring, discovering, being curious and making memories. But it also reminds us of something incredibly important.
Children should never be near or enter water without a responsible adult supervising them. Whether it's a creek, dam, river, beach, pool or even a shallow puddle after rain, water can change in an instant.
At Seaside Swim School, one of the reasons we finish lessons with no-goggle safety activities is to prepare children for real-life situations. If a child unexpectedly falls into water, they won't have time to find their goggles. They need to stay calm, open their eyes if needed, orient themselves, find the surface and get themselves to safety.
Swimming lessons aren't just about learning strokes, they're about building the confidence, awareness and life-saving skills that could one day make all the difference.
π Our biggest goal is for every child to know one simple rule: Stop. Look. Find an adult. Never go near water alone.
Let's continue raising children who not only love the water but also understand how to respect it. Every conversation, every lesson and every safety skill matters. π
